Is it possible to merge an old account of mine with my new one?

I registered originally on 22 December 2000 and the stats say that I completed 948 workunits, and used 10,410 hours of CPU time.

It's not a major issue, just curious!

99% sure it's not possible unfortunately...

I'm in the same boat with accounts from '99 and '04

You can't fully merge the accounts, but you might be able to display a public acknowledgement of your older work by visiting http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_classic_link.php.

If I were you I'd dump the one you used to post and go with the old one. One look at your RAC and it 'appears' you'll only be giving up 20 days worth of crunching.

If I were you I'd dump the one you used to post and go with the old one.

1) Not possible:
"When we launched SETI@home/BOINC, we created accounts for all SETI@home Classic users ... These accounts were not given passwords (i.e., they can't be accessed using any password)."
http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_classic.php

2) Not needed:
He (Tatts) just need to use the link in Richard's post (Claim your SETI@home Classic workunits)
while he is logged-in his current account (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_user.php?userid=8112236)

If the old account is 'Classic account' the effect (on the current account) will be:
- 'Joined' date will change to 2000
- Info about 'SETI@home classic workunits' and 'SETI@home classic CPU time' will be added to the details of the current account (and the same info removed from the old account)

Yeah my brain jumped a few stages because I'm assuming he did all that and is now stuck with 2 current accounts. In other words I'm pretty sure he's already done what you and Richard are proposing, just not to the account he posted with. How else would he know his old scores? I could be wrong though...

This is possible - he did not give any link to the old account (for us to check is it already used for BOINC at some point)

How else would he know his old scores?

By 'User search'?
E.g. this is a Classic account of somebody 'Tatts' (there are 9 users with that name):
