Rocky's Café is again open for business and posting, after a good spruce up, restock, solid training session for the Kolas/Raccoons/'Roos, and cattle prod to remove offending requests ...

Next time, please add to the training to look at the size of the cat flap before trying to sneak out that way for a smoke.
Didn't you tell them we installed special exhaust equipment, so staff could have their smoke break in the staff room?

Good thing I checked all exits while locking up...

Any split pea soup on the menu?

I wish we'd have it for lunch once in a while.

Mainly cause this soup is largely from scratch, the peas come in a bag as their dried, the other ingredients can be frozen, but the ham, if I could find that chopped and frozen that would make this recipe easier to make, but then the recipe is on the back of the bag of split peas. I guess I just don't feel like doing this right now. Oh and then there is the celery and the onions, those have to be chopped from fresh ingredients, which means only the carrots are frozen most likely. I still lack a chopping board of any type.

cattle prod to remove offending requests

How come security let in these offending re-guests? I thought all guests had to be chaperoned?

Chris - You should have gone to Specsavers. The word is REQUESTS, not RE-GUESTS.

We did have a major problem with one request, which was tattooed on the rear end of a bull. It simply read "I'll have this bit", with no identification as who wanted said bit, or how it was to be prepared.

LOL ;-))

Funnily enough it is my two yearly opticians appointment this month, but I'll post that elsewhere.

Mine too.

Actually, I go every year for a diabetic check, but new glasses are every two because that's what my insurance covers.

Perhaps when I get home, I'll have a wee dram of whatever that bottle is on the floor by my chair.
