most military folk go in at 18-21 years and can retire anywhere from 20-30 years later. that gives us a range of 38-51 when retired plus the 22 years is 60-73. If he were drafted he may have been a bit older than that but thats good estimate.

Also his attitude toward others show an old school racism. I'd put him closer to 70 than 60.

Do you really want to continue this?

You do. ;)
Indeed, keep speaking.

I don't care what you think you know about my experiences, memories, knowledge and wisdom. ;)
But, keep speaking.

Ah, so you wish to be a teacher, having retired from something else in 1991?
It must be difficult, filling these past 22 years, eh?

Must be hell to need a job to have a life. Needing a boss to give you something to do. Sad really.

Why do you speak of non-existent Sheol? :)
Why do you speak of bosses that need not direct the self-directed?
Why do you suppose life is not filled with other things?
Why are you a poor psychiatrist? :)

Yup, I'd guess at about late 60's. Rather sad really to end up being such an obsessed and bitter old man. I'll try and make sure it doesn't happen to me :-)

I suggest you redouble those efforts ...

Lager is okay provided it's a proper German style aged beer (as is lagern: to store).

Lager as applied to the various shades of fizzy dishwater that masquerade under the title (fosters etc) is beneath contempt.

Yes you definitely don't want Fosters.

They export it for a very good reason. ;-)

Cheers.

You know, that's something I've always wondered about. Some people like the dark bitters and some people like the light lagers. Why do people who like the dark bitters chastise those who like the light lagers? But those who enjoy the light lagers never initiate the banter with those who like the dark bitters?

I enjoy the light lagers, I don't enjoy the dark bitters.

But I enjoy both the light Dominican cigars and the dark Nicaraguan cigars.

Beer is like ice cream, there are many good flavors.
