Hi everyETI, I have a question, and is why there are WUs that are processed in so many little time. Most of WUs takes 2 or 4 hours of processing, but I have one that only takes 1 minute.

That means what that WU has nothing to process in his interior? or is an error?

Thanks!

It looks like your card produces overflows (30/30)
Evenso i noticed that you get can`t open binary files.

Check your temps and firewall virus program settings.
You have no valid unit atm.
Did you make sure all driver rests were deleted before upgrading your drivers ?

Hi, what means (30/30)? and valid atm?

I have a firewall, but at now I don´t have an antivirus program.

And what is going to happen with that WU? is going to be processed by another person or is going to be checked as OK?

No, i don't delete the previous drivers, i reinstalled the new with the older in my hard disk. Do I have to reinstall drivers deleting previous before?

30/30 means 30 single puklses and 30 repetitive pulses were found.
So processing will be cancelled.

Its possible you still have some driver left overs on your system.

You have not one valid unit but a lot inconclusives with overflows.

I suggest a clean driver install using driver sweeper or something similar.

if a clean install doesn't do the trick you can also "detach" from the project and then re-attach like you did the way when you joined in the first place.

I would also like to point out to you that you can run optimezed apps for seti that will increase processing (and also your credit) by ~30% t0 ~40%. You can download the installer from the Lunatics website : just Google "Lunatics Seti" and you'll find it...

Just a friendly pointer to a new cruncher ;-) Welcome !

Ok, I have done the next tasks:

-I have DriverSweeped all the ATI old drivers and/of Catalist 11.12
-I have deleted all .bin_v6 and .wisdom files of SETI data directory (but I can't find any .bin file)
-I restarted
-I installed Catalist 12.1
-I, I, I...
-Read "Idiots guide to installing SETI apps": http://www.paddysinspace.com/info/34-2/96-installing-opp-apps
-Installed SIV and GPU-Z:
-Downloaded Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe from http://www.arkayn.us/forum/index.php?action=tpmod;dl=cat3
-Installed Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe
-Restarted.
-Do I have to do anything more? Install AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSSE3x.7z and AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797 and Stock MB v7.00 perhaps? Do I install Lunatics and I don't have to use Lunatics anymore?

What is the difference between Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe and AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSSE3x.7z and AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797 ??

And what about Stock MB v7.00 ??

And what has happened with the WUs I was processing with the GPU and have disappeared? And the WU that only took 2 minutes? have been assigned to another person?

Ah! I'm going to install an Intel Quad Core Q9300 next month and at now I´m going to install a second 4 GB memory module after installing Win XP 64, so I have to reinstall all again, isn't it? Temperature probably is not going to be a problem, because I'm going to dive my computer and convert it a WaterPC.

Yes, one task is running on your GPU. Now sit back and watch the credit roll in :-)

The progress bar is still at zero percent so not sure.
Check GPU utilisation with GPUz.

I will check your result when you reported it.

:( I think no.

Do I have to install AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSSE3x.7z or AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797.7z or Stock7_00.7z from Lunatics website?

Dont mix things up please.

Now you are trying to process V7 work on your GPU.
This thread is about astropulses.
Since your card only has a work group size of 128 i doubt it will work with V7.
And you have no AP`s left on your host.

You can try the Lunatics installer but not sure it will help on the particular issue.

No, the Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe installs the applications you need.

Ah, OK, that's true! I thought what I was doing was processing Astropulse units with my GPU more faster, but what I have done is for SETI, not Astropulse.

But processing SETI units with my GPU is very very slower, I prefer to dedicate my GPU to Astropulse.

Then, I would unistall Lunatics for Seti an install for Astropulse, this:

AstroPulse for Windows - x64 & x32 Bit Windows AstroPulse apps for SSE & SSE3. Supports AMD and Intel x86 systems as noted in the app description. Please look CAREFULLY to match your supported CPU.

Files:
AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797

With this, what I´m going to do is precess Astropulse with GPU+CPU, not?

Thanks a lot! ;)

First, you should not configure to crunch only Astropulse, because it is not always available. The pattern is that we get Astropulse tasks for a few days, and then there are none while we wait for the MultiBeam(SETI@Home) splitters to catch up so new raw files can be mounted. For example, no Astrpulse is available today and I don't expect any until Tuesday or Wednesday. So install both S@H and AP.

Second, the option line you are looking at is for AP on CPU, not a gpu application. I'm not sure what apps will be best for your hardware, so perhaps some else can comment.

OK

No and no.

The only file you need is Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe
It contains all the apps you need (use 7-Zip to see what's inside it)
(e.g. AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797.exe is inside the Lunatics_Win32_v0.41_setup.exe)

Just run the installer and choose the apps you want (e.g. only Astropulse for the GPU).

The installer have all these apps inside it:

AP6_win_x86_SSE_CPU_r1797.exe
setiathome_7.00_windows_intelx86.exe
AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSE2x.exe
AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_SSSE3x.exe
AKv8c_Bb_r1846_winx86_AVXx.exe
AP6_win_x86_SSE2_OpenCL_ATI_r1843.exe
AP6_win_x86_SSE_Brook_r1854.exe
MB7_win_x86_SSE_OpenCL_ATi_r1843.exe
MB7_win_x86_SSE_OpenCL_ATi_HD5_r1843.exe
AP6_win_x86_SSE2_OpenCL_NV_r1843.exe
Lunatics_x41zc_win32_cuda23.exe
Lunatics_x41zc_win32_cuda32.exe
Lunatics_x41zc_win32_cuda42.exe
Lunatics_x41zc_win32_cuda50.exe

Ok, thanks a lot, with so many links I was dispersed.

I have uninstalled Lunatics, restarted windows and installed Lunatics again, but only with Astropulse for CPU and Astropulse for GPU, but nothing of Multibeam, I prefer to use my GPU for Astropulse.

Thanks again! I´m going to watch the application the next days to see how is working.
