Hello.

Just upgraded from Fedora 11 to Fedora 19 and am trying to get BOINC/Setiathome going again. When I execute "run_manager" I get the following errors:

[gpv@hal BOINC]$ ./run_manager
./boincmgr: Symbol `_ZTV12wxBufferedDC' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
./boincmgr: Symbol `_ZTV10wxClientDC' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
./boincmgr: Symbol `_ZTV10wxMemoryDC' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
./boincmgr: Symbol `_ZTV9wxPaintDC' has different size in shared object, consider re-linking
Fatal Error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected.
The library used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1002,wx containers,compatible with 2.4,compatible with 2.6),
and your program used 2.8 (no debug,Unicode,compiler with C++ ABI 1002,wx containers,compatible with 2.6).
Aborted (core dumped)

How do I fix this?

Thanks.

From a terminal window, do ldd boinc-manager to see which libraries you have installed, and which ones BOINC Manager requires. Then update to those libraries.

You may also want to do ldd boinc-client, just to be sure.

ldd boincmgr didn't show any errors but ldd boinc came up with these:

>ldd boinc (2699)
./boinc: /lib64/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by ./boinc)
linux-vdso.so.1 => (0x00007fffdcffe000)
libcurl.so.4 => /lib64/libcurl.so.4 (0x0000003752600000)
libssl.so.1.0.0 => not found
libcrypto.so.1.0.0 => not found
libdl.so.2 => /lib64/libdl.so.2 (0x000000372a000000)
libz.so.1 => /lib64/libz.so.1 (0x000000372ac00000)

I have the openssl-libs-1.0.1e-4.fc19.x86_64 and
openssl-libs-1.0.1e-4.fc19.i686 packages installed so libssl and libcrypto are there at versions => 1.0.0

What next?

Thanks.

Find out which packages actually provide those libraries.
