Per my calculations we have the following combined bid for the Raccoon Lovers Team.

$300 - Angela
$10 - Daninal
$50 - Chris S (1) & (2)
$60 - {BDC} Thomas Dupont
$51 - Rob
$50 - Mike
$10 - Uli
$50 - Richard H.
$50 - Mark Stevenson
$300 - Josef W. Segur
$50 - Bernie Vine
$20 - Julie

Total $1001.00

I had absolutely no idea that raccoons were so popular and I am touched beyond words.

Thank you, friends.

It is easy to see the bidding will go over $1000US more than once.

Mark will you be able to crunch the whole year or will you have too time out during the hot spell?

I always had something running all year this year. Not all 9 rigs full bore during the summer heat. One week I had only 2 running all week. Other weeks it got cool enough to run during the evening hours, but down during the heat of the day.

My, oh, my.

This is getting interesting with about a day and a half to go.

Another Raccoon Lover amongst us, eh?

What lies in store for the kitties and their kibbles?

Shall there be any exiting turns of events in the next 27 hours?

Stay tuned to this kitty channel..............

To make calculations a bit harder I added a continuous donation (for at least a year since the auction closes) of $25 per month to [edit] to be accounted for [/edit] the team that is at second place a minute before the auction closes. [edit] Money is paid to Seti[/edit].

Payment is valid even the the team at the second place does not win.

Keep crunching.

One of you could ask me the year 2023 why do I pay to some Seti-organisation a $25 each month? Every month?? If you remember by then then please remind me. I probably should raise that then.
..
p.s. Where to find the instructions how to post a screenshot (if needed)?

Yes, it does indeed.
And I'll have to make a ruling so that everybody bidding knows where they stand.

I will accept the $25.00 monthly bid a year as valid in the amount of $300.00, to be added to the team bid that without it, is in the number 2 spot at the end of the auction.

So, if the number 2 bidder is $299.00 or less under the high bidder, they take the auction.

It will take some extra work on my part and that of petri33, because I shall have to see proof of each monthly payment.

I can justify this because.........
Here is the second part of my ruling.
If, for any reason during that first 1 year period I cannot verify each monthly payment, my participation immediately and irrevocably reverts to the team that lost their number 1 spot with the addition of this special bid.

If the number 2 team is more than $300.00 behind the number 1 bidding team, it's a moot point and the number 1 bidder still wins.

I suppose I should address the unlikely situation that there should be an absolute tie. In that case, I shall extend bidding by another full week.

Hope that answers any and all questions at this time.

About 19 hours to go, everybody.
Don't stop bidding yet!

Meow!

Thank you for updating the totals, Ulihon.

Just keep in mind if things shift much, the special nature of that bid from petri33.

The actual standings at the end of the auction are BEFORE that bid is awarded, and what determines which team gets it.

Complexity

Not really.
It does add an extra dimension going into the final hours of the auction.
And an interesting one. I don't remember such a bid with such a caveat being made in my past kitty farm auctions.

But, I think I have clarified how it shall be applied.

The Raccoon Lovers need to stay sharp now, because whoever winds up in the number 2 spot at the end of actual bidding has a $300.00 hedge in their favor.

I did not solicit the bid or it's terms, but it is a valid $300.00 pledge to Seti, and that is the whole point of this auction.

Look.

The way I see this, there are no losers.

The project wins in any case.

I have many fine friends over at GPUUG.
They have done many fine things for me.
Donations of hardware and knowledge and such.

I shall perhaps lose all of this with a team shift.
I might stand to lose all of that .......donations of hardware to me personally.

There is a lot in play here for those that do not understand it all.

I put it all on the line here with this auction, and I hope that, winners or not winners, you all know that I have done this all for Seti.

I may personally suffer a loss, but I do not care. That was not the intent.

Can I see a few more donations come in before the close tomorrow?

Just to make the kitties happy?
