It was not a sad end.
I think Angela, given her posts throughout, considered it a most joyous event.

I am currently crunching for the Raccoon Lovers out of respsect for their momentous achievements.

I shall do so for a week or two before I go back.

I agree, and thank you.

Oh, I thank YOU.

I am not always real gracious.
I have my attitudes and give little leway to anybody that crosses my path when I am in those moods. Bad time to cross the kittyman's path. Very bad time. Few have survived it.

Now, I happen to have survived the little kitty show myself, and to tell ya true, it was most wonderful..
I have been with Seti a long long time now, and I have done this only twice or thrice. It's always refreshing to see just WHO come out of the woodwork..LOL.

Bernie.......we have had some cross words in the past. I don't know about you, but I forget about them about every 12 hours. At this point in my life, ya know, it just don't pay to hold any grudges. And If I am the treangressor, I can only pray that the one I offended feels the same way I do.

Best Wishes and kitty kisses,
Mark

Hello Friends!!!

Eric and I were out of state this weekend, so we were unable to follow the auction closely. We are home now and I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to the GPUUG for maintaining kitty crunching privileges. I always enjoy spirited competition and this auction delivered plenty of it!!!

Thank you to ALL the crunchers who participated in this auction and thank you also to ALL seti@home crunchers who give so generously and so tirelessly of their time, talents, efforts and energy to further this project.

You all rock!!!

Thanks, Angela... there's my official confirmation, and thanks for keeping everything positive! Time for me to pay up.

Thank you for your gift of $430.00 via Visa on 09/30/2013.
Your gift will benefit the following area:

SETI@home - $430.00

Your confirmation number is: 117759

Now that I've spent a bunch your hubby will probably hit me up for the Green Bank requirements in a couple of days... heh. That would be typical for my timing.

And Raccoon Lovers will get a couple of weeks of Mark crunching for you, so raccoons can still get some quality kitty time. :^)

And the kitties would wish again to thank all who participated.
Even those who just yelled obscenities from the sidelines....LOL.

But especially Angela. Her inspiration in creating a new team to participate in the event made it what it was. And her gracious address from the 2nd place podium was exemplary.

Thank you everybody!!

Meow for now.

Once I have everything, I will update my list from Saturday.

Since my donation was finally made in the name of Racoons I joined your team.
You should expect a small bump in avg points as soon as the team switch is visible.

He pleadged $200 to GPUUG - message 1419245, 23 Sep 2013, 12:43:38 UTC

Separately, he pledged $200 to the Raccoon Lovers - message 1421448, 28 Sep 2013, 15:25:17 UTC

He has posted a single receipt for $200 (#117707, message 1421520, 28 Sep 2013, 18:21:45 UTC), but he didn't indicate which of the two pedges he was redeeming.

The way petri constructed his bid, putting the raccoons _slightly_ in front would have resulted in a net win for GPUUG ;) with no certainity of being more than $300 in front, that's some devious reasoning...

edit: mid auction tallys are confusing. nobody thought to keep a bid by bid tally posted.
