Same as Julie, no cloth dryer here. Just doesn't make economic sense in Hot California. Here in the windy hot desert a gas or electric dryer makes lots of sense, unless one doesn't mind wind blown dirt in newly washed clothes or winds fast enough to knock clothes off of a clothes line. My neighbor uses the sun on Her front porch to dry the clothes, but not everyone has that option and a clothes line can't be put up here, the last owner forbid that, wanted people to use the pay machines only. I hang my cloth up indoors. Windows and doors maybe be open depending on temps. Still same effect without the dust. I live across the street from a Baseball diamond and if I should hang my laundry outside, it would have a red tint. Anyway back to Dyson. Pluto will always be a planet to me. I'm all for letting it wander where it may, but I hope no one takes it too seriously. My problem with many modern conveniences is their price. I too own a manual can opener and I manually put ice trays in my freezer. I also pretty much have to use an electric clothes dryer as my physical restrictions would make hanging clothes out to dry extremely difficult. Also sucks hanging clothes out in a raging snowstorm when its blowing like hell and 10 dgrees F. Yes your clothes will freeze themselves dry after a time but wading though 3 feet of snow sucks. Now dyson could make a combination beer cooler and end table. Never have to leave my chair when watching my favorite shows. [/quote] Old James |

La-Choy brand Chinese food comes in large diameter cans that require a can opener. I bought an electric can opener made by Black & Decker expecting it to be of comparable quality to their power tools and was extremely disappointed. My hand powered device works better. I do try to buy products in cans that have pull tab tops if possible. I like that LaZ Boy recliner but alas I can't afford one. It's like wine, even medium quality ones come in screw top bottles these days. We live in a lazy convenience orientated society. There are some very good reasons, not related in any way to being lazy or inconvenienced, why screwcaps are increasingly gaining favour among wine producers as the closure of choice. |

My Sweetie LSM deserves to have as much help as possible around the house here. As I was not able to help out like I wanted to, and even though I am as poor as a church mouse I saved up to get her appliances that will give her the least amount of problems. I don't drink and I don't smoke so it is only right that I spend my money on something nice for my wife. |

Also sucks hanging clothes out in a raging snowstorm when its blowing like hell and 10 dgrees F. Yes your clothes will freeze themselves dry after a time but wading though 3 feet of snow sucks. I wouldn't mind having the fridge and cupholders (for other stuff, not beer) and the heat could be useful in the winter, but I don't need most of it and I'm way over the weight limit. I agree with James about the relief tube. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

I have a 2nd hand La Z Boy Swivel Recliner, it works, though I can see why My Brother didn't like swivel recliners, cause from time to time one has to pull them forward a bit as the recliners scoot back some when one sits down in them, Mines green and outside of that 1 shortcoming, I like it. It's in better shape than what I had before at least. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

My La Z Boy recliner does that too, and it doesn't swivel. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

That's too bad, the swivel part comes in very handy, if I want to take a nap, I can turn the recliner away from the window with the sun streaming in or away from the cool air. I had a recliner but the back rub setting gave me headaches, needless to say I don't have one any more. It was covered with the skin of the endangered Nogg. You know, noggahide! |

I don't mine it not swiveling. I never open the drapes anyway. Mine is leather, but right from day 1 I've had a sheet over it so my skin won't stick. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |
