Just me, or has anybody else noticed that somebody using tinyurl in their sig hangs forum threads when loading them?
It's become rather a pain on my end.

I see no difference on my end.

You don't see tinyurl sticking and preventing the full loading of the thread?
I do on my end.

It starts to load the thread, brings up the first post or two, and then I see tinyurl in the address bar.....'waiting for tinyurl' and the browser will not advance to the most recent post until it clears.

I've noticed it, but I thought it was just me. One of those tinyurls is mine, but mine is not the only one. When I have a chance, I'll change it to a bit.ly.

The question is, why is tinyurl taking so long lately?

I dunno, but it has gone on for several weeks, so it is not just a temporary problem.
Probably, like Seti, they are having a problem of popularity.
Or, their database has been overloaded, and due to the number of hits, they can no longer support what they started and have no means to upgrade.

It was an OK concept. Fix if you can or will. I just noticed it being a real PITA.
Thank you for letting me know it was not just me.

It seems to be fine today. Maybe it's just a matter of server load.

Haven't noticed any issues with David or anyone else's sig. I'm runnig IE8 on the P4/XP rigs, and Safari/OSX 10.4.11 on the Mac G4s.

Me neither. I use Google Chrome on Windows 7 Home Premium at home and IE8 on Windows XP professional at work

The tinyurl problem seems to be intermittent. Other times, I have to wait for allprojectstats or some other site to cough up something for someone's signature. Doesn't seem to matter what OS or browser. Might be ISP related, but I have trouble both at home and at work.
