How would I maximize RAC? Currently I have the following settings: SETI@home Enhanced: yes SETI@home v7: yes AstroPulse v6: yes I don't see MB here. Or is MB one of them? Thanks! |

Interesting dialog and seems to apply to adjustments I'm in the process of making. Recently obtained a GTX 480 from a friend to pair with existing 480. The dialog above speaks to changes in the app_info.xml file, namely <count>?</count> with which I'm familiar (currently running 3 simultaneous WU's in the single 480). Questions: 1 - Since the 2nd 480 uses the same driver, does Windows automatically pick up the 2nd GPU? Clear that I've never run a dual GPU configuration, SLI or otherwise. 2 - Are changes to <count>?</count> all that is necessary to get them both running together at 3 WU's each? 3 - Finally, a little off subject, what size power supply is being used for the dual 670 configuration? Thanks - Bill |

Almost always, but there are times that a driver reinstall seems to be necessary for reasons I've never understood.
If you already have 3 running on one, 3 will run on both.
I have a triple-670 system that runs quite happily 24/7 on a single 950w PSU. I have several dual GTX 560Ti systems (about the same power draw) that have been running for years 24/7 quite happily on a 750w power supply. The dual GTX 470 system has an 850w and seems to be happy with that. |

Sure like your responses - Thanks. Inserted the 2nd 480 today and move the power cables over from the 1st since I only have a 650 watt PS. Driver loaded up and, after settling in, it immediately picked up where the 1st 480 left off. Also ordered a PS today but may have overkilled at 1KW (3X670's on 950! - I'm impressed). Should have read your response first but I have in mind building another platform with more current GPU's if all this works out. Sure glad I found this thread. |

I'm running my 670/660 machine on a 950 Watt PSU, plenty of overhead if I want to upgrade further. |

Well, that cheap 1KW PS arrived in 2 days and, with a quick remove and replace, both 480's fired up and loaded with 3 WU's each. That was an easy transition. However, AP WU's appear to be running very slow or at least not updating. Probably the latter since they seem to be completing in less than 4 hours which I gather from other threads is about normal. MB WU's are completing in about 30 mins. Now let's see how the add'l 480 affects completion rates. Thanks again for the feedback. |

... My i7-3930K@4300 and 2xGTX780OC run now temporarily with Corsair AX650 instead of (the dead) AX1200.... The AX650 runs HOT to touch on one side.
