Victor you also need to seal the outside also. If moths are getting in they are coming from the outside. Sealing the inside only means you wont see them living in your walls. Also not sealing the outside leads to other bugs and insects getting in between the walls. Not to mention moisture. I realize you live in a dessert, But it still must rain there. When insulation gets wet it is next to useless and causes mold.

Yeah I realize that, at the top the nails haven't started backing out, it's so far up about 5'-6' from the top of the mobile home skirt, but that's why I looked up the cost of zinc plated phillips wood screws, bits(drill & countersink) and a cordless drill, I can do some, but beyond My height or the height of a step ladder, someone else would have to be paid to do it, on their own ladder, why the moths are picking around the master bedroom closet area(which is between the rear bathroom at the rear of the mobile home and the kitchen, I have no idea), I did seal up a spot tonight about an hour ago that I'd missed by accident, after sealing another gap, I had to examine the old tubes for any left over caulk, I found enough to complete the job at hand and the moths haven't shown up since 9:25pm, it's now 10:46pm, I may be a lot of things, but given the right motivation I get things done, even if it is in spurts, sweating like I'm melting in a rom that has a temp of 82F, the temp is now 76F since I opened a window. I think I got rid of about 8 today, 7 yesterday, so far I've looked again as I type this and nothing is walking around, besides Grace and Me, She has been a great help as She can and will spot them and right now She's being quiet.

Vic, dude, I hate to break it to you, but I think those darn things have a breeding colony in your house. Sealing every last crack won't help you if they are already breeding inside your home.

I doubt it Angela, the only stuff they eat is wool and that's in a box sealed up tight at the other end of the mobile home, these are just trying to get inside, plus as I said earlier, I haven't seen any since 9:25pm, I've been very thorough, almost anal retentive in fact...

Some time moths will get in from out side,
when that happens the Fryja cat will attack
and then eat them. If I find and disable
one, all I have to do is tap my finger on the
floor beside the moth and she will come right
over and make the little bugger disappear.

Moths can infest a house long before you even know they are there. Sealing up cracks on the inside wont stop it. And its the larvae that eat natural materials. Such as wool, silk, fur, felt, hair and feathers. The larvae also eat grains. Which is why you might see them in oatmeal and cream of wheat.

Anyone remember the giant bugs from the last King Kong movie?

They live in my garden :D. Well at least the life size ones that they modelled the CGI ones on. They aren't dangerous, but they can give you a bite that hurts.

Well except for the wool that is safely isolated and sealed up(at the other end of the mobile home, in a sealed box), I don't have any of those, any food like pancake mix is in a plastic resealable bag or in steel cans(My eggs). I need to vacuum under and around the bed, I found 6 traps for $30.92 on Amazon that will work with clothes moths.

A couple minutes vacuuming, but it's done in the bedroom, completely, I even moved the nightstand and the bed, I got it all, I even got the bed frame top to bottom.

The doorway to the bathroom, the bathroom closet and part way around the tub could use some caulk, then that end of this 26 year old mobile home to the kitchen will be fully caulked(that's about 25', the mobile home is 60' in length), the rest is taken up by the kitchen, front room, 2nd bathroom and the 2nd bedroom, I use the 2nd bedroom as storage, it stays pretty clean in there, possibly since the vent is closed and cause Grace and I rarely go in there.

Oh and I haven't seen a moth in the bedroom since last time I posted, don't know if that will hold or not, but I'll see.

Well I had one visitor, so far, it was smaller than usual, but its been dealt with, if had some more HDX caulk @ Barstow CA I'd caulk the location where the moth came in, the moth was on the wall next to the cat litterbox next to the bathroom, the doorway to the bathroom needs caulking on the left and some nails at the top and left of the doorway, nails I have, but well that won't do much good without the caulk, it's going to be a long 2 weeks. The outside temp got up to 101F, the caulking kept it real cool in here all day, as the cooler was on low all day long. Maybe the park manager might have a tube of caulk to trade for the useless 47" v-belt that I have.

Vic TMI.
We have Kitty windows open and doors for the doggies. Plenty of insects can come along.
My mother hated spiders, but always scooted them outside. I love them now, as it helps to keeps my house clean of Moth, Gnats. flies etc pp.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

Graces litterbox is automated, all I do is empty the bin and once or twice a week add more corn litter. I'm sorry if some part of My last post was TMI to you, the door I mentioned is to the master bathroom, the moths and their young are considered pests here, as long as they're outside I won't bother them, they're too small and fragile to catch and release, so what can I say?

I did get the nailing done, of course being the border edging that Fleetwood used are 26 years old, they're a bit fragile, so part of the border edging split when I attempted to secure it with some nails, I only bent one nail this time. I might see if I have any caulk left, why not? It can't hurt.

Drat, all 7 tubes are empty.

One of the weirder sports cars ever built, the Bond Bug:

One would later serve as the chassis for Luke Skywalker's speeder in Star Wars epIV.

Do you buy anything like bird seed or corn cob "litter" for a bird cage? "Wild" bird seed is quite often infested with moth eggs. And when I had a parrot and bought the corn cob litter, that was infested, too. I came home from work one night to find about 50 small moths flying around in my living room. If you buy things that might be infested, put them in the freezer for about 48 hours as soon as you bring them home. That will kill the eggs and any larvae that might have hatched.

A whole new thread for bugs? Well, I guess I'll deal with it. But bugs are critters, so I thought the Critter Cafe would be a good place for them.

Here are a couple of leopard moths I've seen at my house.
