Cool, I saw that there is a place in east Africa
where the locals collect and eat lake-flies in the
bug breeding season....

Not just in the east :) In Zambia too. I liked them.

But not *point out London on map* here *, people

and especially not mine*.

oh...and did we say we like humans too? Well we do :)

Um, yes. Why?

Her body is one inch long (2.5cm). From the tip of the back leg to the tip
of the front leg she's 2.5 inches (6cm). I tried to take a picture holding
a ruler up next to her, but it didn't work.

Only the females get this large and spin a web. The males are much smaller
and will hang out at the edge of the web hoping for some action. I'm keeping
my eye out for him.

Yes!
And you don't hear them coming.
Not even feeling when they are biting you.
But some minutes later...
I prefer mosquitos:)

You're going to be a grandmother, of about 800 spider babies, right?

Mama's been busy again. Gonna be lots of babies around soon.

I see these moths around here a lot. So much that I'm not even bothering to look
it up again to see what it is.

And nearby, a mantis. Most of them here are green.

I love the way its little head followed me around as I moved the camera (phone).

Haha! I did a Google Image Search with my moth photo to see if I could
find out what kind of moth it is. Here's what I got back as my search
results:

Good work, Google!
