Well all I know is that I haven't seen any moths or whatever in the house in a few days... Except in this thread of course, good camera shots Suzie. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Maybe they're gone then, Victor I just went after any and all cracks in the wall joints that are above the floor, there were only two holes at floor level, those were easy to find and patch, but above that cracks from being 26 years old and no real maintenance were everywhere almost, swiss cheese(below) has fewer holes and cracks than the walls here. This girl is outside one of my bedroom windows. I took this photo on Monday (10/29). I took it with my phone. I was going to go snap a shot with my camera, but this one turned out rather well, I think. I want to take another shot of her belly from inside the house. Haven't tried that one yet. If you want to see the huge version, go to http://www.zannpix.com/argiope20131029.jpg ~Sue~ |

Just want to say that Monday was 10/28, and let you all know that I know that. That's all. ~Sue~ |

My argiope has moved. She's now on my front porch. And there's a huge egg sac that I have to assume is hers. I'll get some pix later. It's dark now. ~Sue~ |

This is the argiope spider's egg sack that's on my front porch. There is a much larger version of this photo at http://www.zannpix.com/eggsackhuge.jpg for anyone who wants to explore the egg sack closely. It really is pretty interesting to see close up. It has been surrounded by webbing, no doubt to protect it from things that might get too close. You can see the webbing in the close up. ~Sue~ |

Great shots Michael. I always find insect wings fascinating structures, and those are "quite massive" by the looks of them. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

That cicada is a color I've never seen. The ones here (in central Texas) are green, and the 17-year cicadas on the east coast are red. Yours has a white body. Where do you live, Michael? ~Sue~ |

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10202334825395717&l=5688441080986890274 This is the video of the argiope rebuilding her web. It's just over a minute long. I swear it was clearer before I uploaded it to Facebook. It is pretty difficult to focus on something that takes up such a small area in the frame. ~Sue~ |

All right, enough. Vic obviously does not want advice on his moths, his home, or pretty much anything else. So as the thread founder, I hereby declare any of Vic's personal problems to be off limits. Now back to Sue's terrifying spiders. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |
