"Mocking" was not my interpretation, but OK I can see that. I was going with irreverent. I can image that he could be a big football fan upon his return, but granted the "nailed to an object of ancient torture" is morbid, but interpretation is in the eye of the beholder. A flaming debate on Believer vs Nonbeliever was not my intent, but obviously the result of that GIF. Maybe I was engaged in Trolls Trolling Trolls, but then again maybe not. That said... Welcome all to the 21st Century. What shocks me is a pronouncement of soullessness, really. Threats of fire and brimstone, eternal damnation, OK, I grew-up with that. Inquisitions and burning at the stake, well, there is history. I guess we do damn our own too easily and we forget Béziers by displaying the mentality of Abbot Arnaud Amalric, “Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius - Kill them all for the Lord knoweth them that are His.” I don't want to initiate some forumwarz, so if a Moderator will take down my post: Message 1506498, I have no problem with self-censorship.

Well... I will say that my sister, who is a very religious Baptist, and married to a missionary whose main work involves the translation of the new testament into other languages (such as Chichewa, Kiswahili, Bemba and another twelve I can't remember) didn't find the Jesus saves post offensive or mocking in the least when I asked her opinion of it yesterday. She thought it had relevance in our modern age and was in keeping with many of the soundbites that are coming from pastors in their Sunday services with regards the worshipping of sportsman and the like that goes on today. So, I suppose it's a matter of perception really :/ but Jesus in goal in both her and my brother in law's opinion was a nice touch to mark the resurrection.

:) I thought I was getting the hang of chords when I tried teaching myself how to play guitar when I was about eight. :) Made a ghastly discordant racket though and was actively encouraged to stop by well... everybody. Have worked out since that, because I'm left handed, I was holding the wretched thing upside down. Kept meaning to have another go though, but only after a bit of restringing first. :) My daughter can play most musical instruments really well. Not jealous! :)
