Message 1409433 - Posted: 29 Aug 2013, 17:50:58 UTC - in response to Message 1409419.

Some spiders like the Brown Recluse or the Black Widow are poisonous, you don't want to be bitten by either one.

I've been bitten by Black Widows - they died a quick death immediately after. Left a nasty red welt for a few days, but no serious reaction. Had them in our woodpiles and the garage most of my life. Guess I built up an imunity over the years. Nowadays when I go out to the storage sheds, I lead with a broom to clear the spider webs. Never encountered a Brown Recluse (that I know of)......

I think that Browns are native to Australia...

May not be on your side of the mountains, but they are on the coastal side in LA.

Called about my car. They said they need a couple more hours to put it back together. However, they're running some sort of cleaning fluid through it and that smells really bad and takes a while to disperse again, so they might not call me to come get it until morning. Which will turn into afternoon. All this is going to cost me a $100 deductible on my extended warranty. That's fine with me, since it's probably several thousand bucks' worth of work they're doing on it. And if the oil consumption problem persists, I won't have to pay another deductible for them to try again.

Oh, and the loaner actually has 748 miles on it.

Ping!
David

I'm back online, I see no one missed Me, perfect, the area here had a power outage from 2:42pm to 5:20pm, plus rain, the area got a warning at 2:41pm and then everything went DEAD...

Why thanks Uli, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said to Me. If I were I'd have trouble combing or brushing My hair, rumor has it that the undead can't see their reflection in the mirror...

For the period of time you mention; I was watching TV, so I couldn't have noticed your disappearance... However; had I noticed, I would say that your absence was keenly felt.

Well I sure wish the park would notice, I've called them several times about the bugs and I've been told that the managers husband(who's in charge of maintenance here) would come over and do something, so far they've said they're busy, I'd just like to know when can I expect someone over, I told this to the manager in person tonight at around 8:12pm as the swamp cooler spits water when the pump is running, I have a front entry door threshold that needs replacement and the door needs painting, plus the rear door needs a new sweeper and I feel like it goes in one ear and out the other, like maybe I'm being put off. it's 87F in here now and yes I have the cooler on Hi Vent, as I don't like the spitting and clean up, I showed the manager the paper towel I used to dry up the cooler vent with too, as usual She said She'd tell Her Husband...

The only thing I didn't say was about the ownership of this place, the park won't take proper title to the mobile home, at the state level they own it, at the county level I own it since the park won't complete the paperwork and return the paperwork to the state of CA down in Riverside CA...

Good luck Blurf.

Meanwhile I've taken 2 tylenol out of the 4 that I had left, nothing seems broken on My right knee cap, though there is some swelling & pain as I just tripped & fell in My bedroom, going down was easy, getting up, while in pain, not so easy, yes I can walk, not anymore than usual and the knee is warm to the touch, but outside of yawning(I've only had about 3 hours of sleep since I went to bed at 1am, it's now 4:28am, I fell at about 4am) and a bit of shivering(I just turned the swamp cooler off). Next time I will turn the light on, I promise...
