i have tried 3 times. i just activated, and downloaded 3.19 for wondows. i installed and i keep getting this error:



i dont know i just need to wait a little while in order for the database to update or what. any help is appreciated.

All this week, they have been working on the servers, trying to get them to work reliably under massive load. Your problem is a consequence of that work. Please be patient. Things will straighten out.

thank you. another n00b question. ive been working on SETI@home classic for some time now. i have my WU's up to 730 or so. when i start using the bionic client, does the credit still go to my original account?

if there is a link where i can read about this, please direct me there. thank you.

I was getting the exact same error message. I have WinXP SP1 with Norton Internet Security 2003 and found that if I disabled the firewall BOINC suddenly started working fine. No more "failed to log in" error messages. You need to configure the individual program setting for BOINC to allow it to get thu the Norton firewall. This may apply to other types of firewalls (i.e. Zone Alarm) as well.
