i have tried 3 times. i just activated, and downloaded 3.19 for wondows. i installed and i keep getting this error: i dont know i just need to wait a little while in order for the database to update or what. any help is appreciated. *fury* |

I was getting the exact same error message. I have WinXP SP1 with Norton Internet Security 2003 and found that if I disabled the firewall BOINC suddenly started working fine. No more "failed to log in" error messages. You need to configure the individual program setting for BOINC to allow it to get thu the Norton firewall. This may apply to other types of firewalls (i.e. Zone Alarm) as well. |
