And then the TV died, turns out it was the TV lamp, I took the old lamp module out and then put the spare lamp module into the TV, turned the power to the TV back on and not only is the picture on screen brighter, but the TV is as good as new now, this happened just as I was powering up the TV and I even had a picture, the old lamp only took 7.5 months to die. this time I undid 3 screws and then since 1 screw is just for moving, I only reinstalled the 2 screws that go on the outside panel, without those 2 screws the TV will not operate, as that is a design feature to make sure the lamp is firmly in place.
