Thanks for the update Jean. The wreck simply has to be removed, and the scrap steel value costs in. It's a do-able operation. That is science for you.. a giant set of water wings for it! Yeah, 11 of them, I think 5 for the shore side and 6 for the ocean side of the ship, considering the concrete shelf and the cradles that have been installed on top of the concrete, which is all on the sea floor, that's a lot of work and divers can't spend a lot of time below, being very hazardous work and all, makes the work expensive. If they're lucky they will find the two bodies, though after all this time it might be like on titanic, also they do need some good luck in raising this ship, if they're are successful they will have made it into the record and history books for the largest marine salvage ever. Cruise ships are visiting the Venice harbor which was not made to host such monsters and maneuver close to Piazza San Marco and the church and palaces on it. There is a people movement in Venice to keep the big ships at least at a distance, but hotel keepers and shop and bar owners are afraid to lose their customers. Now I can actually tell that the ship is being moved, as the part that was below the water is darker than the part if the ship that was above the water, they're making progress alright, slow, but I think they're pulling this off.
