I'm using Hitman Pro 3.7.7 build 203, and it consistently reports BOINCMGR and BOINCtray as trojans. Has anyone else seen this? I've reached out to Surfright the maker of Hitman to try and resolve this, I'll update if I hear back. Helping where I can. Hindering everywhere else. |

I haven't seen it with Hitman Pro, but I have seen with with AVG. They are always "false positives" and must be reported to the software vendor so they can program that into their database. AVG never responded and never updated their database. This is why I use Microsoft Security Essentials and exclude the BOINC data directory from scanning. |

Thanks for the reply. I emailed surfright and included logs and the files they quarantined so hopefully they can address it. Helping where I can. Hindering everywhere else. |

That's really cool. Glad to see they investigated and reacted accordingly. More than I can say for other AV vendors that hand-waived off the BOINC platform simply because they never heard of it. |
