This gal used to hang around a lot in my backyard until I started letting the cats out. ~Sue~ |

I throw seeds out for the squirrels and our outdoor cat just lazes about, dispassionately watching the squirrels eat. |

Cats are meat eaters, the squirrel fled for its life, there was a study in the UK on this, House Cats are hunters, so much so that they're banned down in Australia I hear, as some animals aren't setup to cope with a predator like a cat. Really???!!! There are no house cats in Australia???!!! Are you sure? Cats have been our species' domestic partners for a long, long time. I find it difficult to imagine an entire continent without house cats. |

Really???!!! There are no house cats in Australia???!!! Are you sure? Maybe there are, but you can't take your cat with you if you emigrated, I think, Monday might know more, but this here might explain it. I quoted a section of what I found on this site. In 1992 Australia's first cat registration and curfew was introduced in Sherbroke, Victoria. Proposed bills covering "companion animals" and "feral and nuisance animals" now under review in Victoria include some draconian measures: The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Our neighborhood cats don't seem to bother Gary's cousin. Which made it's home in a tree across the street. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

House Cats are hunters, so much so that they're banned down in Australia I hear. Chris I did say 'I think'... As to the report, how was I to know? Though some animals and birds down there aren't accustomed to such an animal as a house cat. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

I am sure the Dingo's would appreciate more cats in Australia Vic. The cats I would bring... I think a Dingo might think twice... Ever see a Savannah??? A Savannah, fully grown, is 35 lbs. They are a special breed of cat; bred down from the African Serval Cat and mixed with domestic cats down to about F3 or F4 are usually tame enough to be house cats... They like to play fetch with their owners, and are loyal and loving creatures. I think a sole Dingo would have a hard time with a full grown Savannah. TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... I would have a hard time with a full grown Savannah cat! Ian, you could always go for a slightly smaller special breed cat... Try the Bengal, they only get to be 20 lbs. fully grown. They LOVE water, will go swimming, and love people! :-) TimeLord04 Have TARDIS, will travel... Come along K-9! Join Calm Chaos |

Speaking of cats, you know how they like to leave dead critters as presents for their humans. Baby left me one the other day, but lacking a bird or mouse, he left me a dead cricket that made the mistake of coming into the house.
