I put grapes outside for the raccoons last night, along with some cat food. They ate the cat food but not the grapes. And they came inside and ate more cat food. Hmmmmm. Perhaps grapes have become an acquired taste for my raccoons, and I erroneously presumed all raccoons liked them. |

Ah, a multi-topic thread! love these. I'll have some oreo pudding with cool-whip. Hold the angelic chorus in my head (love that stuff!). |

The name Café is actually a misnomer. It is more like a resort. The dolphins are close to completing their life guard certification. Not sure who is in charge of the Jacuzzi. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

I put grapes outside for the raccoons last night, along with some cat food. They ate the cat food but not the grapes. And they came inside and ate more cat food. I left them out again and they were gone in the morning. I put some inside, too, and those were gone, as well. Who knows why it took them two nights to decide to eat them?! Wasskally waccoons! ~Sue~ |

What! I left out some peanut butter crackers (the kind like a sandwich you buy in a cellophane wrapper) a couple of times and those got eaten right away. ~Sue~ |

So going off-topic for a second: Can anyone tell me how to combine my seti@home and einstein@home accounts? I guess I signed up with a different user name for my e@h account. Is there some easy* way to combine them? *easy for me as a novice, that is ~Sue~ |

Hello friends. You've heard, I'm sure, that old expression "When the cat's away, the mice will play." Well... Eric went to a Cal Football game with my brother today (Go Bears!!!) and I have spent the afternoon cooking foods he hates. First off, I roasted some beets, which I later turned into a tasty salad for dinner. After the beets went into the oven, I picked a bunch of apples and made a double batch of apple-onion chutney. Now all I have to do is air out the kitchen before he gets home... So, what do YOU do when YOUR cat is away? |

Nsds, as I don't currently have that kind of kitty. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

So going off-topic for a second: Can anyone tell me how to combine my seti@home and einstein@home accounts? I guess I signed up with a different user name for my e@h account. Is there some easy* way to combine them? I think I may have done it. I changed the e@h account email so that it is the same as the s@h email. Now I'm going to sit back and see if BOINC figures it out. If you think this won't work and you have a way to fix it, you can still let me know. Thanks. ~Sue~ |

This is a test. If it worked you're looking at a very large clickbeetle - the largest I've ever seen. It was about 2" long, iirc. ~Sue~ |

This is a female wolf spider with lots of tiny babies on her back. (Both this and the previous beetle pic were taken at my house.) ~Sue~ |

So, what do YOU do when YOUR cat is away? Most times I sit around and pray for my cat's return. Also it is a good time to sneak flowers and chocolate in to the house for when she gets back. |

That creeps me out more than the other picture. BTW, I started a new bug thread. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Here are some cute little ruby-throated hummingbirds for those of you who are frightened by tiny, harmless insects and spiders. I took these pix earlier today. There have been more hummers at my feeders today and yesterday than I've ever seen. Well, except several years ago it snowed on April 9th here in central Texas and, when I came home for lunch, there were dozens of hummers trying to drink from my one feeder. I spent my lunchtime putting up more feeders. (I hope this pic isn't too big.) (oops. It is.) ~Sue~ |
