Why do they let people with three brain cells into the media?

Or anywhere else for that matter, especially Westminister!

I find that despite having ostensibly 'grown-up', the urge to try running up the down or down the up escalator has not diminished with age.

Same goes for walking the wrong way on travelators.

Yes, that urge is difficult to repress, no matter what age.

On a different note, my sister used to tell about the time she lived in Bakersfield, Ca., and her ex was in a shopping mall during a mild earthquake. Resulting power outage caused him to be trapped on an escalator for over an hour......

Some years ago in London, there were signs in the Underground saying "Dogs must be carried on escalators". Very inconvenient. Have you ever tried to find a dog during the rush hour at Oxford Street underground station?

I went to the shopping center this afternoon and when I used the escalators and travelators I stood on the left side and held on with my left hand. I am right handed.

Almost - sandy brown. Jeannie preferred to blame it on an inherited genetic defect.

Hmmm...last time I remember, I stood on the right side...

I just noticed the most peculiar thing yesterday. The buttons on my stove turn from right to left. I always though you had to turn a button clockwise?!
But then I was thinking, this could be an English stove...;))

Mine go both ways. The oven controls go clockwise, the grill control is anticlockwise.

Simple Chris, up to two brain cells qualifies you to enter politics, three cells
and you can join the media with more cells then your seen as a risk to them
both. Hence they will attempt to treat you as an idiot hoping to knock the
excess brain cells out of your head...it does work some times...How many times
have you banged you head against the wall over some political issue and in the
process lost a few brain cells???

It is standard protocol at Chicago Union Station that if you are going to just stand and ride the escalator, you stand on the right. The left is for people in more of a hurry who climb in the same direction the escalator is going.

Amazing photo Ang. Does this mean that raccoon markings have been evolving for millennia in anticipation of the invention of the escalator? Or is this photo an arguement for Intelligent Design?

Gee, I thought it was some sort of "art" on the barrier between the up and down sides......

Nah. It's a sign of escalation in the evolutionary arms race.
