Hey - where did you get that graph from? I've not seen it before.

As of 24 Jul 2013, 15:47:14 UTC, there's only 16,903 SETI@home Enhanced v6 WUs left out in the wild to crunch.

Goodbye SETI@home Enhanced v6, you were fun to crunch.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/server_status.php

And it's already down to 16,274 at 25 Jul 2013, 2:35:55 UTC.

Maybe we need a pool to predict the run out date?

I have 19 of them on a slow computer

Maybe I should suspend it for a week or two ... ;-)

Of course this number does not include the V6 units that were "validated" against rogue crunchers to help clear the books.

Across my 3 computers I have 200+ V6 units that have been validated against actual errored results (not just -9's) from the wingman.

I have observed that credit per wu for v6 wus seems to have dropped recently and I am seeing credit of around 30-40 for circa 600 seconds of run time (these are GPU wus), so I have ceased processing v6 wus. You may want to check to see if you are seeing the same thing.

Have a look at your wingman's stderr_txt file. I'll bet you find it's an errored result from a rogue 560Ti or similar and the resend to the third computer has timed out.

Then to cut corners, the good result has been "validated" against the bad one and a credit of ~30 given to both.

Well, I guess I won't win this one. I've got 65 CPU tasks left in my queue on my AP cruncher with the last one being 08/17/13 @ 22:49:54. I finished my last GPU task earlier today.

I've got 30 left, but a database clean up will be needed to clear most of them.

Cheers.

Somebody check the cracks and corners of the storage bins and see if there are any tapes that yet to be found -- quick. There was some talk when v7 went into production that some tapes were going to be reprocessed, maybe, just maybe some of those tapes contained AP tasks. Shouldn't there also be AP tasks from the Greenbank data? If so then all may not be lost.

I have 3 machines still configured to only run v6. An old 850MHz PIII & 2 IBM xSeries 345 servers. The servers I plan to swap out with newer hardware when I have the time to do so, but the PIII I will leave to run v6 until it dies or the count hits 0.

The 2 servers only get 1 task every few days to chew on. The PIII, which takes ~30 hours per task, still has 7 or 8 tasks left, but has not had a new one since the 19th. I expect most of the 15,639 Enhanced tasks are in deadline limbo. Only awaiting to expire so they can be sent out again.

Looking at some of my wingmates and teammates, I come to a similar conclusion. Going to be a wave of v6 resends in a week or two.

The kitties are still calibrated to crunch them if they come my way.

Hopefully via GPU.

Using the values stated in the other postings today it looks like it is dropping ~50-80 an hour right now.
All of the tasks my PIII has are _2 and _3's. Hopefully the remaining tasks get processed instead of getting dumped into the max error pile from to many timeouts.

Send them here, and the kitties shall crunch.

But it needs to have something to do! My two IBM servers set for only Enhanced v6 are idle. I could process the tasks there if I wanted to have them done sooner I guess.

Also we may get to see how many stuck tasks there arei n the system. Like this one I have had hanging around since 2010.

Plus any that are going to time out on computers that are no longer crunching (like one of mine that suffered a fatal hard disk failure with about 82 v6 MBs on it)
