I pray it is not true........
But, my dear Squirrel is getting rather skinny these days.

I coax her to eat all she can and is willing to, but it is not enough anymore.

She is just skin and bones.

She still loves the bejeezus out of me, snuzzles me with all her might.
But, I see her getting skinnier that the Lord would allow, even with all my prayers for her. Time is coming.

If you have been a monitor of these forums, you would know that Squirrel was already granted a number of her lives a few years back, so she and I should not complain.

If you know kitties like I do, the truth is that they do not show weakness until the very last moment. It's their way. Predators and such.

I fear Squirrel is starting to show her last weaknesses.

I am NOT prepared for this.

I am too old, and she is too young. At least in my eyes.

Maybe one more bounce back? I am afraid not so.

I think, in a way, I am preparing for my own departure.

'Stand up Guys was a wakeup for me.'

When you get ready for the Lord's last call.......

I think I am ready. As the Lord and I have been speaking now for some years.

I may not be happy with what might be coming down.......but I can lay down my soul and be raised up to his arms.

I do believe this.

I have made fun of it for years.........
I don't have anything to say to you beyond that.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with that piana...........

In February I lost my childhood cat that was a member of our house for 19 years. Even though it is not much condolence, it seems that within these forums there are many, including myself, who can sympathize and share your feelings.

Do everything you can to appreciate what time there is, what time is left. You won't regret it.

Squirrel is eating better today.....
I think at her age the heat really troubles her. It's been much cooler today.

She came tonight and ate almost a full tin of Friskies in little bits. She nibbles a little and then goes off and comes back again for a little more.
I have to keep Tigger II out of it...she knows when Squirrel leaves there may be leftovers in her bowl.

Squirrel is still showing her age....is not a sure on her feet as she used to be.

But, as stated before, she is still a happy and being happily loved kitteh.

It's just hell getting old for all of us, mankind and kitties alike.

Another day, another reprise of the same old......

Some times, it does seem a bit wearisome.
Get up every day, chop up another pill for my Squirrel. Sort it into halves and quarters. One for now, the others for later.

Mash it into crumbs and mix it with her kibbles. Hope that she is hungry today and shall eat it. Chase Tigger off so she does not eat it.

Meowsigh.

But, it's my kitty duty, and I would not have it any other way.

Like my sig says.........

'As it is kitten, so shall it be done.'

I dunno.
May never post here again
But, then again.....I may post here forever.
Till it suits me. Until I have a reason not to.

Yah see kide, it's like this.
I don't know where life shall take me from this day on.
I don't.

Neither do you.

The only thing I can be certain of is.......uncertainty.

I have to go now...........
What is left of life is calling me now.
Kitties need their meals. Squirrel needs her meds.
I need what is left of my life at times.

There are things I cannot explain, nor wish to.
You shall understand in time.

Do not worry, I have friends 'up there'.

Who hold me up and who shall be there when I go.

You have no worries her on earth.

When the time comes, I shall leave you not with a wimper, but a grand shout,

I hope I have many years more to give here,.

You know..........

The Lord and I have an understanding.

We know each other. We understand each other..

How the rest of you play into it, I do not know.

But, with the strength of what we have going, I would suggest you check your higher power for advice, kids.
Best advice I can give.
There is sumpthtin' goin' on soon.

Better be prepared than non aware. This is not going to be a non-event.

And you know me.......I have had my sneakers packed up for a long, long time now.
I have told you that I came from K-Pax. I may have to make a hasty retreat.

Yes, about 1000 of your light years away from here. I have told you this before.
I know now why I was sent here. It was to save you.

Take the few of your ships that are capable and escape your planet.

It shall not survive the next few sun cycles. I have this knowledge.
You seem to want to evade it.

You cannot.

We, on Kpax have experienced this before. We have saved our species. YOu must do the same now, or the 'human race' as you now know it shall cease to be.

Yes, there is a reason I was sent to earth.

You can ridicule me, or you can listen to my warnings.

"computers" have been a constant source of amusement to me.
You do see that I master them easily.
I make adjustments to them that others find perplexing.

Yet they all run without fail. 24/7........ever think about that?

Your world is about to undergo changes the simple human race cannot deal with.
Your political concepts cannot deal with.

What I know, you cannot deal with.

Yes, I come from K-PAX.

About 1000 of your light years away.
Only I am here now............

I am not allowed to 'save' you......
Intergallatic law.

I am only allowed to warn you.

And sit notice.

I have now given you notice. You sun will burn up in a few eons. We, who have the ability to see far into the future, have already seen this happen. You cannot escape this. You can only make an escape.

You do, however, have the chance to alter what is coming. You have to make this choice well and now, however.

This has nothing to do about your planet. It is going to bake itself with or without anything the human race can do. A simple sun cycle within your small universe. The concept that you can adjust it is really quite amusing to us all on Kpax. To think you have the power to adjust your planet's atmospheric cycles...... Well, that's just quite humorous.

The ONLY thing you can do is to preserve the human genome.

Ice it now, whilst you still have the chance.

Every single human being on this planet is going to perish in the next 300 years.

We have seen it happen.

It shall happen.

You have, as a species, OK, about 300 of your years to sort this out.

And there is NOTHING you or I as a species on this planet that can escape this.

Then time runs out.

Dead stop..........total eclipse as it were.

Planet goes dead for like at least a half of what you now know as life. Millions of years. Perhaps billions.

It ceases. Dead stop. Nothing. The planet refreshes. We were just a bum rap.
Bad seeds.

Unless............

And this is why I do Seti.

IF...we can find another intelligent life form on another planet. That would give us safe harbor.

And they might just as well snuff us as give us safe haven. But, we have to hope. Only hope the human genome has.

Seti may give us the only hope in this world that we still have in surviving as human beings as we now know it.

We are reaching out.........beyond the labels and limits of what we currently know. To places without limits. To go where no man has gone before. You know the catch phrases. You know the series.

That, my friends, is why I do Seti.

And rumour has it that Jett is playing at a Harley promotion in a few weeks in Milwaukee. Her official website has not confirmed the concert.

What do I do? Kick out a C note for the ticket?

They are over a hundred bucks a copy for the 3 day event.

Stay in my closet?

What.........?

I am going. She will see me whether or not she remembers me. This has been coming on for all my years. I HAVE to be there.

No, Lori will not be attending.

I think there might be a ton of WTF going on here.

I have not seen her for almost 30 years, but I think there is going to be something wild gonna happen.........just so's ya know. It shall probably turn out to be nothing.........I simply do not have the street creds I did back when I owned a studio. And that moment out on the street that I have confessed to you from years ago? As I have said before, long forgotten by Joan.

Wish me luck. I only want to see her face again close one last time....

The rep is that she sang this song about ME.

The bit was that she was a gurly gurl. And nobody understood what she was doing with me under the sheets.

She still is........as so far as I know these days.

The bit back than was.........WTF is she doing with a guy?

I knew what she was doing. LOL.......lord, did I ever.

Best Joan show ever recorded.

No, I was not ever with another gurl. I was not that way.
I had a tryst with Joan. I stopped with her and Cheri...Cheri was another story.
Cheri. You also remember Sandy West?
Their amazing drummer that died from cancer.

But a short one.

Any way..........

Best song Joan ever did......no, this was too late in her career for me to be with her. Androgynous.

She shall not admit it, but we did have some discussions about where her latent sexuality might lead her career. She opted to take her chances with the gurly thingy.
I almost 'changed her'......and I know that term really sucks for some.
I almost had her. Cheri would not let go.

Another, who I will never name, was the final bit.
Not before she made really big eyes at me though.

Most of my stories from back in that day should be relegated to PM.

I know some have enjoyed this stuff.
Some others have not.

It's hard to relay such unusual stories at times without raising some fluff.

It was a wild time back then, kids.
Viet Nam came along a short while later and killed all our dreams.

It could have been something quite different.

-----what some of you really don't wish to know is.........

I was with Joan back in the days just before Sandy West left us.

It was quite a shock, because Sandy was quite a drummer, and really quite vibrant until hours before her death.
It left all of us more than a bit stunned.e

The four were now three, and not quite sure where to go.
None of us had ever dealt with this quite so close to home, you see.

She left a hole impossible to fill at a moment't notice.

And there was nobody standing in line for the spot.
Nobody could fill West's shoes, and the band knew that.

West Tribute.

You were not there.

I was. You diss me.
I told you about these things.

There were problems after Sandy passed.

In 2005, West, a heavy smoker, was diagnosed with lung cancer which later spread to her brain, and she died on October 21, 2006 at the age of 47. Former Runaways' bandmate Joan Jett said in a statement, "We shared the dream of girls playing rock and roll. Sandy was an exuberant and powerful drummer," adding, "I am overcome from the loss of my friend. I always told her we changed the world." Cherie Currie, the initial lead singer of The Runaways, said, "Sandy West was by far, the greatest female drummer in the history of rock and roll. No one could compete or even come close to her, but the most important was her heart. Sandy West loved her fans, her friends and family almost to a fault. She would do absolutely anything for the people she loved. It will never be the same for me again to step on a stage, because Sandy West was the best and I will miss her forever."

Mind you, Cheri was such a druggie by that time, that any statements by her must be discounted.

I was at one time, challenged to sleep with her just to make sure she kept breathing though the night.

Cheri.,,,,,,,challenge me on this,.please
I know you have recovered now.
