Hello, I have been doing a lot of searching regarding work units and I am just wondering what the newest ones floating around out there are. The newest I ever get are recordings from early 2009. The radio telescopes are still active correct? So it is just by chance that I am not getting things form 2011 or 2012? |

SETI@home just released a new version 7 of it's science application. This new application adds an interesting featured called "auto-correlation". You can read about it here directly from Dr. Eric Korpela's blog. Because this new auto-correlation is such an interesting piece, the Project Administrators decided to run some of the older workunits through with the newer science application to see if any more interesting results come out of them. New data is being collected from the Arecibo radio telescope, and I believe some Greenbank data should be heading our way too. It'll all get crunched eventually. |

Currently they are working through some old tapes that were either not spilt, or had lots of problems with them at the time they were first split. There is a bit of dip in the input of new tapes due to the Arecibo telescope having repairs and maintenance done.
