8 years ago really isn't all that ancient. Very much so. Like 1 human year is 7 dog years equililant.. The 8088 machine I mentioned earlier in the thread was purchased from the place where I was studying. They replaced them with 80286 & 80386 based pcs which had a 16 bit data bus & 16 bit address bus. RAM Above 640k was configured as either extended or Expanded RAM on an Addon card in an expansion slot, rather than plugged into the main Board itself. A city destroyed by an earthquake is an opportunity to Rebuild, redeign & make it a better place to be. Better, stronger, faster like the 6 Million Dollar Man |

[ Yes it is a pity I'm not there. can't seem to find 1 over here for love nor money. It might almost be worth the frieght to get 1 sent here, but would it arrive in 1 piece. Yeah! I managed to find a higher speced cpu for my socket 775! not quite top of the line, but its an improvement. a Pentium d 945 @ 3.4 GHZ 2 core, 2 logical processors..a bit of a step up from 2.8 ghz.. A city destroyed by an earthquake is an opportunity to Rebuild, redeign & make it a better place to be. Better, stronger, faster like the 6 Million Dollar Man |
