I have not heard a man speak such truths and toss about such simple wisdom in my whole life long. Your opinion may differ, of course. But. you shall be wrong. Dead wrong. What America needs most in this day and age is......more America. More of it's core ideals. More of it's past. More of what got us here in the freaking first place. And that was God, kids. That was our faith. In God we Trust. Remember that shit???????? Yeah, I do. This nation was founded upon the belief that God watched over us and guided us in our every day and thought. And once we get BACK to that, our path might me a much better one indeed. It simply riles me ever time some liberal asswhole thinks he has done a good thing by trying to take God out of government. WTF does he think his rights came from in in first place??????????? GOD, goddamnit. GOD. You cannot pay more homage to a man than to piss upon his legacy????? GOD put us here. He has graced every single misguided step I have taken upon this lonely earth. Every single step. Every single one....... There is an old proverb that goes something like this.......... 'Why, Lord, when I needed you most, why were there only my own footprints upon the sands?' And the Lord replies...... 'Because, my Son, it is then that I carried you.' My Lord and my friends her have carried me often. I hope some day to return the favor. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Mark, the "Englishmen" who rebelled against England and started this country thought their rights were derived from the Magna Carta. |

HA! take a history class above the secondary school level. A main concern of the revolutionaries was that they did not have the same rights as Englishmen, which they considered themselves to be equal to. |

"Natural Rights" came via the Magna Carta, prior to that all subjects were vassals. OBTW, that paper in no way refutes my assertion. |

What certain of you don't realize is that you are all Atheists. You don't believe in Apollo, Ra, Aten, Isis or Zeus or even Odin and Krishna. So you are all atheists. I am too I just go one god further than you. But if you think that your god is somehow the true god such as the god of Abraham, Allah, Jesus, etc then I think that you are suffering (at the least) from a bad case of hubris. |

Katman has obviously never heard of the Treaty of Tripoli. Article 11 of this document reads as follows... "Art. 11. As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen [Muslims],—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan [Muslim] nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries." The bastardization of American history regarding this topic is not coming from liberals and progressives, it's coming from the religious right. The statement "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion,..." is as clear and concise as the English language can be.
