I triple boot Win XP, Win 7 and Win 8 on one system. I have some older programs that require XP. Is it possible to share the tasks that I download regardless of which OS that I currently boot into? I may be in a particular OS for several days at a time and currently those tasks are waiting for me to boot that OS for them to run.

Any guidance or would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Rey

If all OSes are 32 bit - maybe it's possible.

I did this successfully in the past between XP and Vista 32 bit (and not successfully with Vista 64 bit)

You need to do RegEdit export/import of:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley\BOINC Setup]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Space Sciences Laboratory, U.C. Berkeley\BOINC Manager]

... and/or (?) uninstall/reinstall BOINC pointing it (in every OS) to the same BOINC Data directory.

Hi. I have just managed to share project data between vista & win 7 <both 32 bit> on a multi os system. The data directory is set to the same directory < note that when you boot up in a different os, the data directory will be on a different partition.> I reccomend in your case moving the bonic data directory to your xp partition & try to have win xp download your initial work units & executibles <seti@homev7.0 etc> so that it will run smoothly under any of your 3 versions of windows. You will need to run Bonic in compatibility mode for win xp sp3 in win 7 & win 8 and run as administator. <You will find those attributes in Bonic.exe in the programs directory by right clicking on it.> That should sort any "unable to connect to local host issues" that may arise.
If you are using windows firewall, you will have to allow Bonic to use the internet.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll give that a shot.
