I read:

http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/07/08/britain-launches-search-for-extraterrestrial-life/

Is it true we are going to start getting data from the UK now on ? If so when ?

Provided they know the existence of SETI@home. They only seem to know the SETI Institute as a SETI research effort.

both are based in California,

What is most disturbing is that they are both based at Berkeley.

AFAIK the SETI Institute is not based in Berkeley. The ATA is now run by the Stanford Research Institute. The Radio Astronomy Dept. of Berkeley used to have a role in the ATA but no longer so. This is what I know but I live far from Berkeley.

Seti Institute is based in Mountain View, California a few miles from the University of California at Berkeley.
