I read: Provided they know the existence of SETI@home. They only seem to know the SETI Institute as a SETI research effort. Tullio |

both are based in California, What is most disturbing is that they are both based at Berkeley. |

AFAIK the SETI Institute is not based in Berkeley. The ATA is now run by the Stanford Research Institute. The Radio Astronomy Dept. of Berkeley used to have a role in the ATA but no longer so. This is what I know but I live far from Berkeley. Tullio |

both are based in California, Seti Institute is based in Mountain View, California a few miles from the University of California at Berkeley. |
