When I look at the computers on your account, I see two of the same type of system - one with a detected Radeon HD 5700 series GPU and one without any GPU detected.

Do you have two systems or are they the same system?

Also, the system listed that doesn't have a graphics card, does it indeed have a Radeon HD5700 series card in it? If so, BOINC is not detecting it and there are a couple possible reasons for that:

1) You have BOINC installed as a service, in which BOINC cannot use your graphics card at all

2) Your graphics drivers don't have the OpenCL library installed and therefore BOINC is not able to detect a usable graphics card.

There is only one system, Do to adding a SSDD the OS was reinstalled. The system Bedroom that shows the ATI HD5700 is the old system. The new install because I can't ever seem to leave well enough alone is called Crashtestdummy. How do I remove the old system?

You should just merge the two. You can do so by clicking on Details for the computer in your account (http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=7029608) and at the bottom there should be a Merge button.

So the problem is that the newest install, BOINC doesn't see your GPU. The solution will have to be in one of my lists above.

i have just added two pc's to the search. they both have amd ati radeon hd 5450's. neither is using the gpu's for computations but the event log recognizes they are there. the previous response involved using seti as a service? and not having the OpenCL library installed. i am holding out hope that someone can advise me which of these i should alter and how to find the solutions implied.

the previous response involved using seti as a service?

If you would run BOINC in Protected Application Execution (service) mode, then your GPUs wouldn't be recognized.

and not having the OpenCL library installed.

From your online host list, you can see that OpenCL drivers are installed. (I can't tell if it's the right version.)

i am holding out hope that someone can advise me which of these i should alter and how to find the solutions implied.

Did you allow the use of ATI GPUs in your SETI@home preferences? Does your BOINC client even ask for GPU tasks?

Gruß

Since BOINC 7.0.64, this is called the Service Install again in the BOINC Installer. I know, confusing... ;-)

Not sure if this is related to a new version or what.
Haven't been getting any work units for about 10 days -

8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks sent
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for the applications you have selected.
8/24/2013 10:20:02 AM | SETI@home | Tasks for NVIDIA GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them

I've an AMD Radeon HD 6450 card, not NVDIA, so I guess that explains the last message. Or is there something in the BOINC Seti settings that I need to change for this? Other BOINC programs are using the card just fine.

Check your preferences to make sure they are set to allow both Astropulse (AP) and SETI@Home v7 (MB) as there is only a small window for getting AP when new tapes are loaded.

my computer is asking for ati work units, so maybe there hasn't been a window of opportunity in a week. I have looked around the site and the only way to get astropulse, (lol the only way for me), is to have it automatically downloaded with work units. thanks again

The only AP work ATM is resends (.wu_2, .wu_3, etc). Until new tapes are mounted and new AP work is available for splitting, AP work is extremely hard to come by.
