Oh my, the infamous "they" is up to something again. I'd advise you to stop looking in the mirror. "They" is "You!" |

Let me expound a bit on the fraud Mark mentioned. Let me show you how it all works and leads back to American Corporations. You have these big tax prep firms. They are public companies. The big boss has to find any way possible to increase the bottom line, that is his fiduciary duty to the shareholder (Wall Street). He comes up with tax refund anticipation loans. In essence he becomes a loan shark and his interest rate reflects that. So for a few years he does okay. Wall street demands his business continue to grow ever faster. A panic sets in as he realizes that there are only so many loans he can make and the IRS is getting faster and faster at getting refunds out so his loans are getting repaid quicker so he isn't making as much interest off each. Knowing that all the people working for him are resourceful he decides they can find the answer for him. So he implements commissions on loan sales. Nothing wrong with that, right? Dishonesty rules. The sales people realize the way to get that fat check is to commit fraud and get people huge refunds. What better group of people to exploit than migrants who can't be found to be questioned and aren't going to be around long anyway? So some smart sales guy figures out a scheme to boost the average refund so he can sell more $$$ in loan shark products. He tells a coworker and the scheme spreads like wildfire. The workers can play dumb and swear they didn't know it was fraud, despite having the phone number to make phony ITIN's in their Rolodex. This is the American way. |

It's probably safe to assume that every "Immigration Quota Challenged" Mexican working in the USA is getting paid by someone. The IRS doesn't care what you do as long as you pay taxes. The Americans and Businesses who hire don't care who you are as long as you work hard for less. American consumers who eat fruits and vegetables like quality produce for less money. It seems to me that a lot of Americans have a vested interest in keeping a hard working cheap labor force and are willing to defraud the government in the process. With present net cross border migration at close to zero the Immigration Reform Bill is a desperate attempt to maintain the status quo for the smallest expenditure. The increases in Border Security expenditures is just a bone thrown at the border states and the die hard "Get Tough on Immigration" lunatic fringe. It's not needed. |

I always get a good giggle when righties start foaming at the mouth. Spewing, indeed. The things that come out of your mouth are astounding at best, my friend. I don't like illegals, that much is true. What I like even less is folks who are as ignorant of reality as yourself. That really galls me. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Prove that. Do so or its a damn lie. Back up your claim. Before I spill with a link why would you be surprised about it? Are you unaware of the teaching of Jesus? Are you unaware of the lesson of the good Samaritan? Why would you be surprised to find churches actually doing the things Jesus espoused? I think you should look inside yourself first. Compare what you write here with how Jesus would answer. BTW Google brought up one right quick. You can even make a tax deductible contribution to not only have maps to water passed out, but also fund putting the water out! That's right, tax deductible humanitarian aid. Isn't that what Christians are all about? |

Prove that. Do so or its a damn lie. Back up your claim. You will have to spill with that link. Aid can be given and should be given. Doesn't mean I need open my home to them at the cost of my own family. Must not conflict resolve by suggesting that someone should go sit on an ice pick... |
