Ok, I need some help here, and was directed to this area to find out. I keep getting the following: "Scheduler Wait: CuFFT Plan Failure" This happens on EVERY v7 700 (CUDA *any number*) tasks; all of them will run for 30 seconds, and then I receive the statement. I was told that I needed to free up my Video Memory; so I need help in doing that, and would appreciate any input! ED |

Maybe 256MB VRAM on your NV 9400 is just a little to low. I'm running two v7 cuda tasks simultaneously on my NV 670 and each uses up to ~300MB of VRAM. IIRC there is an option to assign RAM to your VRAM in some BIOSs. If your BIOS is able to do so, you could try to assign at least 128MB to the video card. Just a thought... .:morpheus:. |

This may be the old driver usage problem for older nvidia cards. IIRC older drivers don't use as much RAM. He's using the latest Drivers which may be the problem from one of your errored WU's all CUDA-capable devices are busy or unavailable. In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Read Claggy's answer: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=72056&postid=1382815#1382815 Edit: It may be also the problem with cudart.dll and cufft.dll discussed here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=71953 Â - ALF - "Find out what you don't do well ..... then don't do it!" :) Â |

That was for a 640 would that apply to an 8600 or 9400? In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Ok, I need some help here, and was directed to this area to find out. Just a follow up: It dawned on me to check to see if my NVIDIA drivers were all up to date, and it wasn't! ALSO, on the right hand side of the NVIDIA home page, there is an update for CUDA. I ran ALL the updates that were available, and since doing so, there has NOT been an issue with "Scheduler Wait: CuFFT Plan Failure! My CUDA tasks are operating properly! If anyone runs into the same issue, PLEASE check NVIDIA for updates, and save yourself the grief that I PUT myself through! My Thanks to Everyone who helped me! Ed |

Ok, I need some help here, and was directed to this area to find out. One small flaw in that update, you were failing on the Cuda Multibeam apps earlier, Now you're only running the CPU & Nvidia OpenCL Astropulse apps, different apps, different memory requirements. Claggy |
