You still get: Mo 1 Jul 14:09:54 2013 | | No usable GPUs found If your Boinc can't find your GPU it can´t use. First you need to fix that and is not a SETI issue. Check your GPU/driver instalation/version and be sure is working. |

juan, the client shows the same messages for Collatz and PrimeGrid - and both work perfectly well. I have an ATI-GPU and therefore it is logical, that it can't find any GPU workunits designed for CUDA. My guess is, that there is some mistake in the syntax of the app_info file but I cannot find it and it works fine on my second Mac at home. |

Mo 1 Jul 14:15:15 2013 | SETI@home | Nachricht vom Server: Ihre app_info.xml Datei enthält keine nutzbare Version von SETI@home v7. Since June 22 you have returned only errors for v7 + the server has decided to expire some of your tasks shortly after being sent. In fact you have not completed any v7 tasks successfully with app_info in place. All the failed tasks have the errno=13 line in them. errno=13 is "permission denied" so even though you said you checked the permissions check them again. The message about not having a usable version of v7 could be just the server sending confusing information because your host has reached its daily quota of one task. |

Martin, this case is getting really hard. I have tried your app_info.xml (copy&paste) and it works ok on my host. Like has already been said you need to get rid of that not existing GPU entry. Try to check with Terminal.app, open and type: "cd /Library/Application\ Support/BOINC\ Data/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu" and "ls -ale" should show for "setiathome_7.00_i686-apple-darwin" exactly the following permissions and ownership information (taken from my Mac mini) : "-rwxrwxr-x boinc_master boinc_project" now type: "cd .." and "ls -ale", this should show you these permissions for the setiathome.berkeley.edu directory: "drwxrwxr-x boinc_master boinc_project" Are these permissions set correct on your host ? _\|/_ U r s |

juan, Your computers shows you have Nvidia in your hosts, so that message must not apears, that indicates comething is missing in your configuration. If BOINC can't see the GPU it can't use, no mather you run Nvidia/ATI, SETI/Collantz/Primegrid or any other project. Are you sure both GPU´s works on Collantz & Primegrid? Not sure about MAC OS but in Win7 when you mix Nvidia/ATI sometimes due some driver interactions one of the GPU´s not work. There are a thread about that on the forums, never read it because i only use Nvidias. |

Works now! The problem was obviously the v7 application. After resetting the project it automatically downloaded all necessary files. After the backup of the v7 app I reinstalled the v6 optimized and the AP optimized apps as well as the app_info file, reinstalled the BOINC client - and viola! |

Just so future readers know, the link Arkayn provided downloads a file that is not in an executable format. Anyone who downloads it will need to go to the directory its in and type "chmod +x setiathome_7.00_i686-apple-darwin" to convert it to an executable before it will work. Chris |

To be pedantic (and you have to be in my profession... :-) it is executable but it wasn't granted execute permission. chmod doesn't change the file, it changes a flag in the file-system. |

Well, this explains all the trouble I had ;-) Just so future readers know, the link Arkayn provided downloads a file that is not in an executable format.
