Just installed Version 7. I'm downloading AP WUs with no problem. However, I'm not getting any CUDA WUs. What's really weird is that it appears that CUDA units are not being requested. My preferences have me accepting everything. So why no CUDA? Just installed Version 7. I'm downloading AP WUs with no problem. However, I'm not getting any CUDA WUs. What's really weird is that it appears that CUDA units are not being requested. My preferences have me accepting everything. So why no CUDA? You haven't got Seti v7 set to 'Yes' in your project preferences? and you're got Use Nvidia GPU set to 'No'? Claggy |

6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | Computer location: home And have you got the Home set of preferences set up right? Another Fred Support SETI@home when you search the Web with GoodSearch or shop online with GoodShop. |

6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | Computer location: home Doesn't matter what Home says, the computer is looking at the Top set, called "Primary (default) preferences". Been there, done that...it's a pain. First problem I had when going back to "stock" was with that problem; 6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | Computer location: home 6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults It should say; 6/2/2013 19:50:49 | SETI@home | Computer location: home 6/2/2013 19:50:49 | | General prefs: using separate prefs for home |

6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | Computer location: home That doesn't matter, Those are the General (Computing) Preferences, not the Project Preferences, Note, it could just as easily have got the preferences from worldcommunitygrid, Note after that they are overridden by the Local Preferences, again there are no Project Preferences in the Local Preferences. 6/2/2013 6:49:11 PM | SETI@home | URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID 5952933; resource share 900 The Project Preferences aren't mentioned in the Log (without extra debug flags), and will in this case use the home venue, (it is only the General Prefs that are going to use the default location) you can tell whether GPU work fetch is Blocked by preferences by going to the Projects Tab, selecting Seti and hitting Properties, it'll say on the left 'Don't fetch tasks for NVIDIA GPU' 'Project Preference' Claggy |

Hmmm, maybe it's been changed since I wrote that long post about the problem months ago? 'Cause I know what I experienced back then. The post is still on this board somewhere. I aborted quite a few unwanted tasks because the scheduler was sending me tasks from the default preferences instead of the selected location. It did happen, and was logged. |

Enable WFD and post. Sorry long version: put <work_fetch_debug>1</work_fetch_debug> into the log flag section of your cc_config, reread config, post snippet of eventlog. and somebody please remind me to do a FAQ entry on how to enable WFD... preferably some time in aumtum.
