ok Depends what tasks you have, and what app_info you have. If your tasks are v7, and your app_info is v6, then yes, for definite. But if you wait until Monday, as we keep saying, then we will release an installer that will create a v7 app_info for you, and we are doing our damnedest to minimise the risk of it trashing either v6 or v7 tasks. Fingers crossed. |

OK guys. Since no problems with this particular computer and the others still doing fine; I'll wait til Monday and see what happens. William: thanks for all the help. Do have your app_info ready just in case. Question: Will this work for the xp computers? Richard: Thanks to you also for all the work. Seen your post earlier but was anxious to get some V7. bj |

William: thanks for all the help. Do have your app_info ready just in case. That one's more my department. There will be a 32-bit and a 64-bit version: the apps are the same, but there are important differences in the app_info.xml files. Both versions will run on XP, Vista and Windows 7 of the appropriate bitness. I'll test as many as I can over the weekend, but XP-64 is a little bit hard to come by. It's likely that Windows 2000 will work as well. I had one report (only) that v0.40 didn't work on Windows 8: I asked the guy for details, but he never came back, so I don't know what I should be looking for (except a free Windows 8 computer for testing, of course). Edit: message 1291577 - "the Lunatics installer doesn't seem to work well on Windows 8 :(". That's all I was told. |

if you have Lunatics on the other machines just change the info file the way I have in my info file but do it to the XP version you have should only be 3 changes you need to make |

Richard: Dont want to put any more wood into the fire for you. Did see that post about Win 8. Haven't had any problems with my Win 8 laptop with the present programs (have lunatics app in it). The only thing not in the XP's are the nvidia tasks. The other 7 comp is chugging along as usual. Glenn: (hey - have it right now) Going to wait til Monday. Dont feel too good about messing with the other Win 7 since it running as usual. If I knew that the tasks would get resent; then I would do it. But as Richard said earlier; depends what version there are. bj |
