Boinc is not Setiathome, the last Setienhanced app was version 6, the new one is version 7, why should they go straight to version 8 and miss version 7 out?

Something went wrong, I assume with the new version. The computer started throwing various memory related bsods I teared the whole computer apart to no avail. The computer runs fine with prime95, but if I start the seti tasks it almost immedietaly throws a bsod. Either with the message memory mapping, or pfn list corrupt.

No, you can't use that app_info with v7 workunits, none of the applications in it are v7 capable,
you'll want set NNT, complete and report your completed work, then remove the app_info and restart Boinc, unset NNT, then you'll be able to get v7 work.

Either with the message memory mapping, or pfn list corrupt.

If you want in-depth help, post in a (new) thread in the Number Crunching forum. But in the mean time, the PFN List Corrupt error is the best indicator that there is something wrong with your memory. When other errors are about memory mapping, then believe it!

Run either memtest86+ or the Windows memory test tool.

I have follow message: 30.05.2013 4:44:01 | SETI @ home | Message from server: Your file app_info.xml not suitable version of SETI @ home v7.
I use lunatics 0.40 for crunching. How I can fix this? Thanks

Easy fix I just successfully tried:

- Find the app_info.xml and rename it e.g. app_info_Old.xml

- Stop Boinc Manager

- Restart Boing Manager. You'll DL new work units.

- Tested on Win 7 Home 64 bit with lunatics enhancement.

Make a new text file named app_config.xml and have this in the contents

<app_config>
<app>
<name>setiathome_v7</name>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.5</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>.04</cpu_usage>
</gpu_versions>
</app>
</app_config>

No, it will be a new file that goes into C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\setiathome.berkeley.edu

The first invalid result of my machine (The WU was calculated correct! I'm a beta tester and the app is running very well on my system.), because of two wingman with 'SETI@home v7 v7.03 (opencl_ati5_sah)' apps and wrong results. :-(
So this WU is uncrunched and lost?

26mr10ab.22208.11282.8.12.10 - wuid=1255961084

OK, OK, the result have 5x 0.
But the next WU have maybe 'better' findings?!

So far so good.
After clearing app_info (Lunatics entrys), resetting project and restart BOINC 6.10.58 i got this msgs:

Works fine. Now i'm running stock without MBs for ATI gpus. (only APs).

Let's wait for the new Lunatics 0.41 next week (or so)...

Can we please keep this thread clear of discussions that are not directly related to the release of S@H v7.

And please read the whole thread before posting questions - the answer may well be lurking here already.

Both wingmen are running too low an APP runtime version, need to be an APP SDK 2.6 driver/APP runtime :

Driver version: CAL 1.4.1607 (VM)
Version: OpenCL 1.1 AMD-APP-SDK-v2.5 (793.1)

It would help if you will store tasks locally for offline investigation.

Is there a problem with v7(opencl)? I am running Cuda42 and if my wingman is also running Cuda then the results are validated. But if my wingman is running opencl then the result is marked as inconclusive and if the 2nd wingman is also running opencl then result becomes invalid but if they are running cuda then the result is valid. Any suggestions?
