If you want to understand why, let's change it up a bit. Imagine that Steve started a thread called "Famous Jews", and I replied with nothing more than a link to the "Celeb Jews" site... I didn't even say that I was Jewish! And you replied with:

It sucks to be a member of the last religious group that people think it's OK to be openly bigoted and hateful against, I can tell you.

Sugar coat it however you like, you are still wrong. And your point is ridiculous, as Jews don't believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, which is why they were persecuted for hundreds of years and hounded out of "Christian" countries all over the world, and eventually into gas chambers.
