As of AMD's Catalyst 12.2, Windows XP has no longer has opencl support. I know, anyone using XP is allegedly retarded. Therefore, I guess I'm heavily retarded. Anyway, here's my question: what is the fastest single graphics card that anyone here has ever gotten to work in XP? I tried using google's search options but the user computer pages are apparently robot.txted out. I have an HD 7970 but it needs 12.4 before it shows up in the system. Before I spend $$ on shipping I'd like to know my options. Many thanks in advance. |

This would be the best place to look, but take into consideration that some GPU's were still not released at that point. http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalystSoftwareSuiteVersion122ReleaseNotes.aspx |

Thanks arkayn. It seems the best link to help answer my question is actually: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalystSoftwareSuiteVersion121.aspx , since it lists the products supported by catalyst v. 12.1. Looking at the page the answer is the HD 6990. Here's a very short list about options: CARD | YEAR | (To give idea of speed only) Bitcoin MODEL| RELEASED | Megahashes/s HD 5970| 2009 | 740 HD 6970| 2010 | 433 HD 7970| 2011 | 750 HD 8970| 201? | ???
