how can i know if any of my Boing tasks has detected something? an inteligent extraterrestrial signal?

The short answer is "You can't".
This is because there is a very lengthy validation process on every "suspect" signal, and there are a lot of them. This process involves two or more visits to the same location in the sky, over an extended period of time to confirm that the same pulse sequence is observed more than once.
