Word has it that they're praying for more rain over there (almost all of our pre-test practice was washed out). ;-)

Cheers.

Johnson has just taken his 10th wicket for the match and S.A. are reeling at the moment at 5/129.

Bedtime for me now.

Cheers.

Crushed, Aussies win by 281 runs as Johnson takes 5/59 on Day 4.

Better luck next time.

The second Aus v SA Test starts tomorrow.

I just hope that the Proteas can give us a bit more of a game this time.

Cheers.

The Proteas won the toss and elected to bat, but they havn't had an easy time of it.

At Lunch, S.A. is 2/64.

Cheers.

The Proteas made it through to the end of Day 1 with 5/214 which a few reasonable performances, but it was slow going only averaging 2.58 runs per over.

What will Day 2 produce?

Cheers.

At Lunch on Day 2, SAF are 5/323 with de Villiers (102) and Duminy (59) mounting a bit of a challenge.

It's good to finally see some action.

Cheers.

SAF's 1st innings closed at 423.

Us Aussies got off to a shaky start and at stumps were 4/112.

Cheers.

Day 3 and we didn't do that well for our 1st innings (246), SAF finished the day at 4/192 for their 2nd innings.

Cheers.

BOOM! We're back.

That was a memorable comeback performance by the Proteas after the horrors of Centurion. It was great to see Mitchell Whatsisname copping a bit of his own medicine on Saturday, at the hands of Morne Morkel.

Australia lost nine wickets in the third session yesterday, including two golden ducks!

The third Test at Newlands in Cape Town should be a humdinger.

Another awesome display of batting was put on by Warner again (135 runs from
152 balls) and at stumps on Day 1 of the 3rd Test the Aussies were 3/331. :-)

Cheers.

At the lunch break on Day 2 of the 3rd Test against the Proteas, the Aussies are 4/434 with the only wicket to fall being Steve Smith's (84) while Michael Clarke added another century to his stats (137 n.o.).

But the weather may put a damper on things.

Cheers.

The rain did put a damper on things closing play early.

The Aussies finished the day with 7/494 and Clarke on 161, expectations are that Clarke will declare overnight.

Cheers.

Clark declared overnight so the Proteas kicked off their batting at the start of Day 3, but by lunch they were 4/127 with Smith failing early yet again.

Cheers.

The Proteas had a bad day being all out for 287, but again Clarke didn't enforce the follow on so at stumps on Day 3 the Aussies were 0/27, a lead of 234runs.

The question now is, how long will the Aussies bat for on Day 4?

Cheers.

After having such a bad series against the Aussies, Proteas' captain Graeme Smith has announced his retirement from international cricket at the end of this series.

AB de Villiers is likely be his replacement.

Cheers.
