I'm for ever blowing bubbles
Pretty bubbles in the air
They fly so high
Nearly reach the sky
Then like the wind
They fade and die
I'm for ever Blowing bubbles

oh that bring back some great memory's

There was a Clyde Best, but I think you mean Bobby Moore who captained England and won the 1966 world cup. I traditionally support West Ham because it was the first ever 1st Division football match that I went to in the early 60's. Apart from which, at that time they were considered to be one of the gentlemanly teams that played clean football.

Before a single spade of earth was dug for the olympic venues, the government carefully vetted plans for their future after the games were over. There was no way they were going to spend millions and not get full lasting value from it. I was aware of some of the pre-planning that went on. My only concern is the percentage of "affordable homes" that were insisted on, but that is another matter.

Aintree Avenue is 1/2 mile east of the stadium along the A124.

yes Chris Booby Moore I knew I got his name wrong but that was 41 odd years ago and I was just a wee lad

The old house we lived in is still there in Aintree Ave no 34 .The school I went to is 1 road over and that's still there too at least google Earth says it is I was told they built a motorway not that far away by some of my cousins.

The M11 was opened in 1975.

Dad came here to oz in 1972 when my cousins told me they said you wouldn't recognize the place . I'll have to spend some more time on Google Earth checking things out .How far away is the Olympic stadium from Upton Park?
