I've just had two files attempting to download that I didn't expect from S@H - particularly as I already have them as I've been running r1761 for some time. 15/05/2013 21:37:43 SETI@home Backing off 1 min 40 sec on download of libfftw3f-3.dll Both files were stalled with 0% downloaded, after some time trying. Are we seeing an attempt at auto-update or what? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I've just had two files attempting to download that I didn't expect from S@H - particularly as I already have them as I've been running r1761 for some time. They are Lunatics supplied files, you won't be able to get them from the project, looks as if they have got lost somehow, maybe a typo in your app_info? Try dropping them back into your project directory: AP v6 OpenCL NVIDIA for Windows Claggy |

I know they are "Lunatics" files, so wouldn't normally be coming from the project. The files were already in the project directory there before they started to download. They hadn't made any progress overnight (now there's a surprise!) so I've abandoned them. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Strange. Should it happen again, please email me your client_state.xml, so I can check the file entries. On which boinc version was it? boinc may sometimes lose (delete) files, but with app_info.xml it should just decide it can't run and kill the cache - not try to get them from the project. very fishy... I thought that the open Cl apps for intel were downloaded from Seti. Back when I built my I7 3770 And went online I had not insatlled my 550 Ti yet and was jusr running stock 7.0.28. Back when I finaly insatlled my 550 Ti GPU (Late Feb I think) I was still running stock 7.0.28. But then I had files that appeared in tranfers that said open cl. They downlaoded and I was running Astropulse on my GPU. But what im getting from reading the boards you have to download The ap and configure your ap info file. I never did that. So how did I get to run open cl on my GPU? Or am I just missing something? [/quote] Old James |

I thought that the open Cl apps for intel were downloaded from Seti. You probably received the stock GPU apps which are openCL for astropulse IIRC. the Intel openCL doesn't have any apps at seti so you wouldn't see any downloads for it. William I've just re-booted the PC concerned, and the two files were attempting to download (but as one might expect failing) - I've sent you a copy of client_state.xml from the period while they were attempting to download. I hope it helps sort out what's going on. Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
