I am experiencing repeated graphics display driver failures with recovery. I am running:
- Windows Home Premium 64-bit Version 6.1 (Build 7601: Service Pack 1)
- BOINC Manager Version 7.0.64(x64)
- NVIDEA Driver 314.22

I am running dual GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics cards.

The specific GPU task that seems to be running during these crashes is:
SETI@home Enhanced 6.10 (cuda_fermi)
11ap11af.30225.1050.8.11.134_0

This is first time that I have noticed repeated failures like this. Since it has repeated several times, I thought to look at the GPU BOINC apps and this is a short-term GPU task that was running when I had the last 2 display driver crashes.

Is this SETI@home task the likely cause? I normally disable BOINC when running my amateur radio digital mode programs, but I've been trying to donate more time while the BOINC tasks don't cause loss of data. This reset causes problems with the sound cards since both HDMI monitors also have audio.

Is this SETI@home task the likely cause?

The CUDA apps load the GPUs to high degree.
It may be that the PSU is not supplying enough power to support full load of 2 GPUs?

Try to run for test other GPU intensive apps, e.g. 'Demos' in GPU Caps Viewer (especially "Furry Cube"):
http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/

I don't know if it can run on both GPUs at the same time -
maybe start several instances of GPU Caps Viewer, choose different GPU at the top, start "Furry Cube" demo.

Monitor the GPU loads and temperatures for both GPUs.
GPU Caps Viewer have its own indication but I prefer to look in SIV - System Information Viewer:
