You only know ONE rude joke about Watney's Red Barrel - I can think of at least a dozen. And I am not going to repeat any of them - unless of course someone donates an incredibly large amount of dosh to S@H, in which case I might be tempted... The insult was purely intentional (Not forgetting that a "pint" of Red Barrel is actually just under a pint of Thames water, with various bits added to give it some hint of flavour) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

The insult was purely intentional And colour, I presume? The last (and only) time I saw the Thames, the water was a murky grey, not a bit reddish.... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

You've obviously not been to the right parts of the Thames - the last bit of it I saw was crystal clear 'Twas October 1981, as I recall, near the Tower Bridge. We had a 2-day pass, and I don't remember much else of that week-end.... Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |

I got caught in one of those short squalls. It went flash/bang...sploosh/flash/flash/bang/bang/splooooooooooossssshhhhhhh Three flashes of lightening almost overhead, one just before it started to rain, the other two after a minute or so, accompanied by a not insubstantial amount of rain in a very short space of time. 'twas great watching folks decide if them getting wet was more or less important than their car interiors being soaked Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

I got caught in one of those short squalls. I'm glad I have a coupe then, a bit of rain doesn't bother Me. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

You can with a large hammer, but it still tastes horrible .... I assume you have tasted proper haggis. Several years ago I was staying in Scotland for a course and haggis was on the menu. Also staying there was the Scottish area manager, a real Scot who ordered the haggis the first night so I asked him if it was "real haggis" he said it was pretty good, so I tried it an liked it, but have not had it since, Hmm perhaps a visit north of the border is on the horizon. |
