If you have more than one stick installed, remove one, use win 98 startup, then reinstall win 7 64. Do not reinstall 2nd stick until after installation.

OK, then try this....

Win 98 Startup disk

Burn the iso to disk, have computer bootup from CD/DVD rom drive.

Delete all partitions on disk then create new partition & format. remove disk, reboot with installation disk.

Have had that problem several times with XP/Vista/Win 7. When MS O/S gets corrupted, it either has a missing boot manager or ntlkernel file corrupted which prevents a new installation.

Man It has been a LONG time since I have had to think in DOS...

Remembering ( I think ) how to do this... is something... LOL

It is verifying drive integrety... LOL

That's a hardware issue & 9/10 its a RAM issue. Do you have a spare stick? If so, pull the ones installed & just use the spare.

This is name brand ram , corsair xms3 , tw3x4g1333c9a

I'm ready to give up on it tonite , it's almost 1am here...

You may try to underclock the CPU and RAM to see if this returns stability.
And/or increase the RAM timings from the default 9-9-9-24 (to e.g. 10-10-10-30)
http://www.corsair.com/tw3x4g1333c9a.html#tab5

Also remove this stick of RAM and put the other in its place.
Check for dirt/dust on the stick contacts and in the RAM slots.

Message 1362392 - Posted: 29 Apr 2013, 6:09:52 UTC - in response to Message 1362387.

In some cases a little extra voltage fixes the problem instead of underclocking, but run Memtest86 for at least 8 passes and check the reported settings against the BIOS settings.

Have you also run CPUz and checked the memory settings there?

There could be a few things that are not obvious to start with as I've had a couple of ASUS boards here lately that were reporting all the right values but the other 2 programs showed the memory was well overclocked.

Cheers.

Ok , Maybe some good news for a change...
I used my oem XP cd from this old intel PC i got and installed XP on the old WD drive , Just couldn't use the code to validate, NOW... Maybe I can get the win 7 cd to install on the wd drive . If that works then maybe I can get a clean install of win 7 pro 64 bit and MAYBE fix these Blasted problems !

(EDIT) Nope , Got a bsod while expanding windows files.
Page_Fault_in_Nonpaged_Area
Stop code: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFF880037D1188 ,0x0000000000000000 , 0Xfffff8000D16A561 , 0X0000000000000000)

I guess It will Be the 98 trick and see if that will work.

The page fault error you describe is the same basic error message I was getting when I found the following:

Bad power conditioning surge suppressor connected to a bad voltage regulating, surge suppressing UPS, connected to a bad power supply, and two sticks of fried RAM.

Apparently the house got hit with a nasty surge that nearly ate my whole machine but was sated by merely eating all the power handling equipment and a couple RAM sticks.

1) Check your outlet, power systems, and your RAM.
2) It's getting to be Air conditioning season over about half the world, and heating season in the other half. Make sure that if you have a window mount AC unit or electrical heater, that they are NOT on the same circuit as the computer. Remember that power outlets in different rooms can be on the same circuit. Depower your computer at the circuit breaker, and then test every single outlet in your house or apartment to see what else doesn't have power. Also check your stove and central heating/air if you have it, and if you have a pool or Jacuzzi check the pump for that too.
3) Check the same for large stereo speaker systems and any sort of compressor refrigerator.
4) If you have multiple computers running through a single UPS, don't. Unless it's a Honking Huge UPS and two pitiful power draw PC's.

I support retail hardware for a living. I cannot even begin to tell you how many problems I've fixed merely by talking a store through tracing where their soda machines, ice makers, Coinstar units, space heaters, and vacuum cleaners get plugged in at.

Before you spend money on any computer hardware, make sure your electrical system isn't the problem.

Hi Floyd I can read you tried 1 stick try the other if still getting errors then it sounds like they are both faulty.
Hate to say this if not the ram your m/b is on it's way out.

I have found that removing ram and then putting it back in sometimes it's not working so I've pushed hard and jiggled it as sometimes the connectors aren't connected on the stick a jiggle making shore that they end up dead straight will fix it
And resting Cmos each time otherwise the clocks don't all ways reset and IRQ's get messed up if still getting errors there both faulty

Prob getting sensitive to heat loading windows heats ram up quick so if it's faulty it falls it happens when running bionic 24/7, 1 or 2 warm days and it gets a little sensitive after a couple yrs it die's

Well , Whatever the problem is , I can't figure it out and short of RMA the MB , there is nothing else I can do at this time. I'm too broke to pay attention this month or next month, the MB and Case is NEW , Just bought them on the 1st of this month. over 150.00 for them both together , total . So that is the max I can do for a couple months , and still keep head above water... LOL

So I just have to kick back and twiddle my thumbs till the situation gets better.
THANKS to everybody , Ya'll all tried to help and nothing seemed to work...

Just the bad luck , and maybe my old stupid brain... LOL

If I can get it fixed , I'll be back...
