How do I revert to 6.10.58? From 7.0.28 Boinc.

Do I do a complete uninstall or are there files I could delete, I imagine I'd have deplete My cache to nothing of course, which I'm doing on My cpu, the 580 gpu is already on empty.

Don't think you need to do the uninstall. If you have any tasks on hand, backup the project's directory (also preserves the opt apps installation). I'd also suspend BOINC's network access (activity menu) prior to the install. Run the 6.10.58 install. Then, before starting BOINC, run the installer a second time. The installer sees that you're trying to reinstall the same version and will offer a repair option. Run that repair option, and the installer will overwrite the newer files from 7.0.28 with the correct ones for 6.10.58. I did this several times from 6.12.xx versions back to 6.10.58, but haven't tried it since I went to 7.0.xx.

If you're draining the cache, guess you won't hit any inverse of the time estimate problem that hits people on anon platform when they go to 7.0.28 and newer versions.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind.

Ok I'm back to good old 6.10.58 x64 and without any cpu work the gpu is staying at 99% more of the time too.
