Here is the reality of it all. For any who really care. I met her outside a bar and she hugged me.

Downtown NY somewhere.......we went so many places back then, I really don't remember.

We then went to her flat and made love. Once.
The next morning, it was all done. She went her way, I went mine.

She did not know that I would have given her life for mine.
I never got around to telling her that.
When my buds in the van got around to telling me we had to go, I could not find her again.

I never saw her since then. I love Lori, you all know that.
But if Joan stumbled into my life again, there would be some hard choices have to be made.

We all must now, because his reality ended that day at Alpine Valley along with mine.

Let's just suppose...Love Struck Baby et al......

The day the music died.....not here in northern Wisconsin.....but in northern Illinois that day.

A large part of me died that day, to tell you the truth.

My life seems to have been trashed by souls taken too soon from me.

And don't get me wrong when I say this.....
But his brother Jimmie Lee knows every day he could not hold a candle to his brother. And he is good, very good.

I liken it to the Green Mile. A significant and kind soul was laid to rest that day, for reasons only God knows. And what Stevie took with him that day, only He knows. Maybe Stevie was just going too high on his eclipse.
Ask the others that were there that last night.

I am not sure that Eric Clapton has ever said his full weight about not being on the 'copter that night. It was he and Stevie that changed places that night when fate took over.
