I like this song and have since I was a kid (I had to ask my mother to explain the line about Lady Chatterley). There is nothing remotely objectionable in the song itself, despite what it's about. Out of the several times you have posted it recently, I chose this one to actually click the link and play it.

Well, that's part and parcel of the wonderful things that make me......me.
I am not above making fun of myself at times.
Even I have to sit back and wonder once in a while.........did I really say that?
And then sit back on my haunches and meow back at myself.

Case in point....
Dearly departed George Carlin is one of my most treasured people.
And yet, I have difficulty watching a few of his clips when he starts dissing God, who I revere even more than himself.

Or my dear love of old Archie Bunker clips. To wit.... Yes....WIT. And although a bit cheeky, somewhat true as well.

I DO have trouble at times with my own statements, and cannot always justify every word I post here.

Self doubt is something that makes us human. And acknowledging that does too.
I do hope that in these few moments of reflection, you realize that I do not consider myself really above any of you.

I may post that way once in a while, given.

I just wish that, when the bulk of what I have said, in total is weighed, it shall lead you to where my heart really is.

For that to be true, we would have to either agree with everything he said, or disagree with everything he said. Such is not possible. Well, I suppose one could conclude that he's a total a****** and ignore everything he says, but then one would miss some good stuff. I think I have a pretty good handle on when he's likely to have said something I don't want to read and I ignore that. I may still be missing good stuff, and I know I'm still getting bad stuff, but I'm satisfied with the balance.

I was talking to a patient today that who had an encounter with a determined and angry Rooster. He said he was going to cook that bugger. I told him he'd probably need to cook him like the Colonel and use a pressure cooker.
He mentioned that he didn't have one and would need to buy one.
