Kudos......
Everything working so wonderfully as of late.

Gripes......
The few I may have do not bear voicing at this point.
They do not relate to the project itself, in any case.

I have no complaints for a change. Since the server relocation the WU's have been flowing in and downloads/uploads are not hanging or bogging down but proceeding at a fast rate.

Kudos Seti is working very well ATM.
Gripes, it is working so well I may have to spend money on a new GPU so I can crunch more Seti. I saw no point when it was so overloaded.

I think the last update was that it is actually up, running ,but not visible.
2 out of 3 ain't bad;) Especially since it probably really is working.

So how does one go about requesting that SETI either block or contact a tester and ask them to block SETI@home Enhanced v6.10 (cuda_fermi) and AstroPulse v6 v6.04 (ati_opencl_100) work units from going to their computers? There are a couple of new testers out there who have several days of WUs backlogged "in progress" (80-110), most of which are the above two WUs, but when they finally run, all of them are aborting a few seconds into the run with the ubiquitous "Error while computing". This is causing significant delays getting the WUs validated because they have to be reassigned.

Also, I am a new tester...less than a month on board running SETI, Einstein and MilkyWay apps, but have nearly 40,000 credits to date. My turn around time on AstroPulse v6 v6.04 (ati_opencl_100) is about 12-14 hours, but the replication WUs often get assigned to testers with turn around times in the 8-9 day range. Have you considered setting up WU assignments into priority groups based on turn around time so the huge backlog of WUs waiting for validation is decreased?

I think you could just send them a PM and ask them to look at this topic http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=69735

I started quite recently myself, and the first 50 or so tasks gave me that error - I noticed it myself, and started searching for clues on these boards, found that topic, and following it's advice I've had no errors after that. None at all.

So it seems to be a working solution, or a workaround at least.

On another note, (not really a SETI problem, but...) is anyone aware of any issues in the latest Boinc version for windows? I have 3 computers, with differing setups, and was completely unable to get Boinc 7 to run... I'm now using 6, because it worked flawlessly on the first try, where as I could not get 7 to work at all...

No NTPCkr and no plan to run it.
If someone gets a real ET signal, it will go unnoticed like millions of other positive results seen here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sci_status.html
Do we wait for future generations to review the results?
If so, are we better let future generations do the crunching with more computation power?

Kudos on the new home for the server and the higher-speed internet connection. 3-seconds to download a S@H WU. Very impressive. Yeah!! :)

Big gripe - with those who hijack "help me" threads with their own requests for help.
It is easy enough to start a new thread, just click on the "new thread" button, fill in the title (short, but clear), enter your question in the big box and submit.
This has two advantages, others will see your new question, and may be drawn to it more quickly than ploughing through an existing thread to sort out what is relevant to the OP's question and what to yours.

This probably doesn't belong here, but I don't know where else to put it.

I've got an old WU marked "completed, waiting for validation" that has been validated by 2 other hosts that received credit. Since 2 hosts are marked as valid prior to mine I can understand not getting credit for the task, but why is it still on my "Validation pending" task list? Will it ever leave that list?

I also got a stuck AP today, I thought the problem had been fixed. As for leaving I have another one that had it's first birthday a while back and Wiggo has one that is 3 years old.
